Missing Movie Review to inform
Like its religious predecessor, Searching, Missing uses the same format to tell a riveting missing-person thriller, only this time with a younger feminine lead and a global twist. Storm Reid shines as June, a petulant teen who’s thrown right into a whirlwind when her mom (Nia Long) and her mom’s new boyfriend (Ken Leung) disappear throughout a romantic getaway to Colombia. kseries makes use of her computer-savvy to launch into detective mode, hacking emails and hiring out-of-country helpers, while battling the nagging suspicion that someone’s taking part in a merciless trick on her.

Director Nick Johnson and co-writer Will Merrick, both making their characteristic directorial debuts here, use the screenlife approach to great effect.
