I truly have spent 22 years withou ..... Else was my grandmother Grete's sister -- and I knew her as a very younger youngster rising up in Cape Town. Just learned (Feb. 2023) about her flight from Germany with her mom Betty -- and posting this note to honor her braveness and her reminiscence.
Savta Phina, the most sort hearted person I've known. An unimaginable woman who are dearly missed. We bear in mind Grete as an exquisite grandmother who was an integral part of our childhood, not only in Parow but in addition in Claremont. She sadly misplaced her husband Joe in 1950 and outlived her only child, our mother Lore Freedberg, but did so with stoicism and beauty. She sadly outlived her solely youngster, our mother Lore Freedberg, but did so with stoicism and style. To my dearest dad and granpa, we actually miss you and all the time speak abo .....
