Interesting idea, but most people don’t carry a track pump, and inflating the bag with a mini pump might take hours. And while it’s less huge than other bike cases it’s still too big to carry on the bike . No mention of the weight either, which is probably significant. If you can somehow pack your bike into a smaller bag, by removing fork etc. Then you can carry it as your regular luggage in your compartment itself.

I found it easier to leave the rear wheel on, in which case the bike barely fit in the bag, which actually made it more rigid and easier to carry. A big advantage of bikepacking bags is that they can be fitted to just about any bike, whether or not it has specific mounting points on its frame.
