Kung ang puso natin ay hindi nabubuhay sa tibok ng sariling wika,
Paano natin maihahayag ang pagmamalaki sa ating lahi?
Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika,
Ay higit pa sa malansang isda.
Ito'y hindi lamang pagiging ignorante,
Ito'y pagtanggi sa ating tunay na pagkakakilanlan.
Kaya't sa bawat salita at tula,
Sa bawat awit at kwento,
Ipagmalaki natin ang ating wika,
At ipaalam sa mundo ang ganda nito.
Huwag nating hayaan na ito'y mapabayaan,
Sa dilim ng paglimot at pagkaubos.
Ipagbunyi natin ang ating wika,
At sa bawat salita, tanggapin ang pagmamahal nito.
Hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika,
Ay higit pa sa malansang isda.
Kaya't sa ating puso't isipan,
Ito'y ating ipagmamalaki magpakailanman.
