These days ships can hold tens of thousands of people. We ask ourselves why was the Titanic so famous when it was being built and was announced to the public. It's because the Titanic was considered the world's largest passenger ship. It had a gym a Turkish Bath and even a pool and that was a big deal back in 1911 when it was launched. This essay will focus on a few points which are the construction of the titanic, the maiden voyage and the re-discovery.

The Titanic was constructed in Ireland in 1909. The Titanic had two sisters named The Olympic and the Britannic. It was described as a floating palace. The Titanic took about three years to construct. 3000 laborers were working to construct it. It had advanced systems to keep it from drowning. The Titanic only had enough lifeboats to save about half the people that were on it. The Titanic was considered an unsinkable ship at the time.

The ships' Maiden Voyage was 471 miles. It took the ship 400 miles to hit the iceberg and then sink.

People looked for the Titanic for many years after it sank. In 1963 the first search expeditions was launched but they failed due to no funding. in 1980 a doctor convinced the US navy to conduct a search party. In 1985 they were ready and they found and took over 20,000 pictures of it over 5 days. Special cameras were used. Evidence showed that the titanic was split in half. Researchers later dove after it to recover precious objects lost by passengers to display in museums. Anyone these days can dive to see the Titanic for 30,000 euros. There is also a museum in Canada in Halifax which is the closest location on land where the Titanic sank. Most bodies were buried in the sea. 200 bodies were recovered and about 50 bodies were recovered by relatives. The rest of the victims are buried in cemeteries in Halifax.

The essays points were clearly stated in every paragraph. The construction was the first point and it basically states that the Titanic was constructed in 1909 and it took 3000 workers to build it. The Maiden Voyage was the second point and it stated that the first trip was 471 but the ship sank after 400 miles covered. The last point was the re-discovery and it states that the Titanic was discovered after many years of its doom by US marines.
