Ant-Man and the Wasp (Movie Review) got
Ant-Man could not have starred in as many MCU films as Captain America or Iron Man, but the series has nevertheless made a name for itself as one of the comedic of the studio's offerings. The third movie in the franchise, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is not any different. It follows the exploits of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), his girlfriend Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and their household as they get sucked down into the subatomic Quantum Realm—a place that Marvel characters have visited in earlier movies or obtained caught in for decades (Avengers: Infinity War).

Director Peyton Reed brings his signature visual aptitude to the proceedings, crafting an exciting and humorous film full of inventive set items. He savvily makes the most of Ant-Man's distinctive powers, utilizing his capability to vary size as a device for navigating the world and injecting action scenes with playful comic dynamism. He also demonstrates a keen eye for casting and writing, notably in the case of his two main leads—Reed's choice to pair Rudd with Lilly is a successful one.

The film's story is a little less substantial than a variety of the different entries in the franchise, however it works on a basic meat-and-potatoes level, with our heroes pulling off one final impossible heist. It also features some good twists within the narrative, and a few strong performances from its forged.
