funerals are horrible, though this is only the second funeral ive ever gone to in my 24 years of life the first was my parents i remember everyone dressed in black suits, black ties and black shoes that made a clicking noise on the churches marble floor when they walked , johnny never had a funeral his parents didnt bother paying for one when he died and bought a cheap tombstone that has now crumbled only half still standing his name no longer visible when i was a teenager i tried to upkeep it i gave up at 17 it was a losing game when dally died his body was swept up and sent out of state to some relatives we never saw him again and now two-bit is dead the car ride to the grave site was tense. Soda has been quiet a lot lately him and two-bit had grown close over the past 10 years they confided in eachother his death hit soda so hard im surprised hes till standing The graveside service was short with more of the same mingling after the casket was lowered. it shocked me at how many people there were though not nearly as much as my parents but there was still many there are always so many people, some of whom I don’t know asking me questions that i dont have answers to I hate having the same insignificant conversation repeatedly about where I’ve applied to college and whether I’m dating anyone. It’s enough to make me wish I were the one in the casket. it makes me wonder how many people actually knew Two-bit and who were here because they were simply bored two-bits mother was there though she mostly stayed away and gave short ________ answers when asked questions before two-bits death you couldnt shut her up i liked two-bits mother always bubbly and kindhearted they didnt have alot of money and yet she insisted on you staying for dinner everytime still she made sure a good funeral was held for two-bit her only son whether that put her in debt or not two-bit had a fear of being alone though he never admitted it we all knew thats why two-bits mother had him buried next to johnny his shiny polished tombstone next to johnnys crumbling tombstone was laughable a mockery of his kind soul johnny was dead gone alone if his lifeless body had not confirmed it then it was made clear by the horrible screeching scream of the fate that held him a scream that i and everyone could hear
