Old Movie Review high
For a movie about growing older, Old would not have a lot to say. It's not that the movie's premise is not intriguing, or that it does not ship some neat twists and clever visuals. But there's simply something too self-aware about the means in which it sets up its personal trap, a sort of sadism that feels less like high idea and more like lazy storytelling.

The movie begins with a shot of palm bushes dancing in the solar, and quickly cuts to a family in a automotive touring to their tropical getaway, as if the human factor of the story is already an afterthought, destined to be fodder for the high-concept thrills to return.
