Çalımanın sonucu: Melez bir karar ağacı ve destek vektör makinesi (SVM) yaklaşımı kullanılarak, "true mangrove" ve "associate mangrove" türleri nesne düzeyinde %94'lük bir doğrulukla sınıflandırılmıştır. Ancak, tür düzeyinde sınıflandırma yapıldığında, bazı türler için düşük doğruluk elde edilmiştir, özellikle siyah ve düğme ağaç mangrov türleri için.
Çalışmanın özeti: Mangrov ormanlarının hassas sınıflandırmasını geliştirmek ve özellikle "fringe mangroves" denilen alanların daha iyi haritalanmasını amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yüksek çözünürlüklü uydu görüntüleri kullanılarak melez bir karar ağacı ve destek vektör makinesi (SVM) yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir.
