Lone worker alarms offer a range of features to help protect lone workers.
When it comes to workplace health and safety, employers are required by law to ensure lone workers are safe at all times. They must identify, prevent, and reduce the risks posed to lone employees by a variety of factors including environmental hazards, biohazards, and weather conditions.
Whether your lone employee is a nurse visiting a patient at home or an electrician working in the garage, every single person who works alone must have a reliable way of summoning help when needed. Triggering an emergency alarm can be done through an app or by using a button that is clipped to the wrist, neck or clothing. The app can also send an alert to a mobile phone via SMS and GPS location data so a response team can locate the device as soon as possible.
In the event of an alarm being triggered, the device automatically sends its location to the Alert Receiving Centre (ARC). Once the location is known, the ARC can then closely monitor the situation and respond accordingly.
A number of features are also available in a lone worker app, such as check-in functionality which lets the user leave a voice note with contextual details about their location and safety situation so our ARC can better understand where the user needs help. Additionally, a duress option is available which enables lone workers to enter a fake PIN which would cancel a panic alert if the worker was being threatened. Man Down Devices
