A pulley is a basic device that facilitates the force-free lifting of large masses. It lowers the force required to raise items by operating on the mechanical advantage concept. Compound, moveable, and fixed pulleys are available. Applying force across a distance is how work is done. Friction is one of the elements that affect efficiency. Pulleys are helpful in a variety of applications since they can also reverse the direction of force.


Pulley Wheel:

Purchase or create a wheel with a groove to guide the rope.
Axle:

Obtain a rod or shaft for the pulley wheel to rotate on.
Rope or Belt:

Acquire a strong and flexible material to run over the pulley wheel.
Support Structure:

Build a frame or use a sturdy surface to support the pulley system.

Choose pulley type (fixed, movable, compound).
Gather materials.
Attach pulley wheel to axle securely.
Set up a stable support structure.
Thread rope or belt over the pulley wheel.
Attach the load to the free end.
Experiment with lifting different loads.
Record data on effort and load relationships.
Analyze for mechanical advantage.
Prioritize safety.
Document findings and draw conclusions.
