How to deal with the "fishy" smell coming from the girl (20F) I (21M) am seeing?

Hello fellow redditors! I'm using a throwaway account for obvious reasons. (TLDR at the bottom).
I am sorry if what I am about to write comes off as shallow, I certainly don't expect all women to look as they do in porn or smell like flowers and candy but I needed to share it with someone.
It all started with me meeting a girl whom I thought was cute during the last few weeks of my student exchange. You could tell the attraction was mutual but considering I would be going home in just a month or so, we decided not to pursue a long-distance relationship but “fool around” instead until I had to return home. Both of us knew there would be no commitment so all was well.
Neither of us had much sexual experience (not virgins, just rather inexperienced) but she didn’t mind giving me a blowjob for the first time we decided to go beyond making out, I could see that she cared about my pleasure so I wanted to return the favour the next time I saw her.
That’s exactly where the issue came; just when I took her underwear off, I could smell a “fishy” smell coming from her genitals (I can't think of a better word to describe it to be honest). I was certainly put off by the smell so I just proceeded with penetration instead. She has never explicitly asked me for oral sex and I have never asked if she wanted it but I'm sure the same smell was there every single time we had been intimate so I didn't go down on her. We had sex a few times but never had the chance to take a shower together for those who might ask about that. It would have been nice if we could have taken a shower together but I'm not sure if it would really make a lot of difference since I don't think she had particularly bad hygiene judging by everything else.
She has already planned to come visit me and see my city in 2 weeks. Although we have never discussed having sex explicitly over the phone/text, I am highly positive it’s on the table. Is it normal for a woman’s genitals to have a fishy smell? If not, is it due to bad hygiene or an infection? Also, if it happens to smell the same way when we meet, should I suck it up and just go down on her despite the smell?
TLDR; The girl I was seeing in a different country had a "fishy" smell coming from her genitals and she is visiting me in 2 weeks. Is the smell normal/natural and should I go down on her if we decide to get intimate?
