Based on the UN's refugee agency, there are currently 8,255,288 refugees from Ukraine across Europe and over 6.5 million everyone is internally displaced within the country.
The write-ups on serious problems in the country have ranged from women being gang-raped, men castrated, children sexually abused, and civilians instructed to parade naked within the streets, according to the UN. However, the real scale with the human rights violations and war crimes will likely not developed for decades.
As with every crisis, women, children, marginalized communities, and also the poor are the type being the most affected. Education has become disrupted for numerous children, millions are living without power, healthcare facilities have been destroyed, and sexual violence will be used as a weapon of war.
What's at stake?
Millions displaced, millions more on the brink of hunger, tens of thousands dead, people being without the benefit of their basic human rights, and countless more being pushed into poverty. World war 2 against Ukraine has had immense human suffering and its impact may be felt around the globe.
What can we do?
The entire world must stand with the people of Ukraine and many types of people experiencing conflict all over the world, making all financial and humanitarian assistance available to all whose life is being afflicted with conflict.
