10 Tell-Tale Signals You Need To Find A New Counter Strike New
Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's a major update for CS:GO which will bring it onto the Source 2 engine.

It also brings sub-tick server updates and responsive smoke grenades. It's made a lot of armchair gamers go crazy, but it looks like an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely change the smoking system used in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, are an important game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and then move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting of the game, which makes them look better and more realistic. Smokes will also be able interact with events in the game. This will provide new opportunities for tactical play. For example, bullets will cause smoke to temporarily clear sightlines, and hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke obstruction.

The most significant change in smokes is that they'll become a more active part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were fixed-shaped objects that had a limited ability to move and blocking. The new smokes will occupy the space where they are placed and make it harder for players to see vision when they are there. This is a major improvement that will make the game more exciting and will give both sides the same view.

Smokes can also react to the lighting and weapons as well as the surroundings of the world. This will make smoke more realistic and allow players to use it to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially beneficial during the chaotic matches that will happen on every map.

Smokes will no longer be one-way, which was a significant issue in CSGO and allowed players to see their opponents' locations behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional who believes the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.

Other minor enhancements include adjusting smoke particles vertically to decrease the impact of edges, and updating viewers' smoke overlay images so that they match their camera's location. The expiration time of smokes was updated to be in line with the visuals on the screen.

Loadouts

CS: GO players can now alter their weapon selection prior to the start of each game. Full Record revamped loadout system allows players to choose the weapon that best fit their style of play and team's strategies. The new system also brings new tactical depth to the game, as players must balance firepower and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes numerous other enhancements and changes in addition to the new loadouts. Most important, the purchase menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that displays all the purchase options simultaneously. The grid is filled with five pistols as well as five "mid-tier weapons" like submachine guns, shotguns and rifles.

The new system is easy to use and will give players greater control over their weapon selection. It will let them select the weapon that best suits their style of play and team strategy the most, as well being able to experiment with different combinations. They can also compare their loadouts against other players to see how they stack up.

While many players are pleased with the flexibility it offers, some have been critical of it for straying from the essence of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern over how it would impact map-specific loadsouts and agent's skins dependent on visibility.

Despite these criticisms, it is important to keep in mind that the new loadout system is still in its infancy and will undergo more extensive testing over the next few months. It is possible that some of these issues may be addressed in future updates, therefore it is important to stay tuned for more details.

In addition to the new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools that can be enabled through the game's settings menu. These tools allow community contributors to create weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. Additionally the update will live ban players who break VAC guidelines during matches.

The new CS GO update will be released in the coming summer. Players can now check out the complete list of features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site.

Sub-Tick Updates

The world of Counter-Strike is updated by the server in discrete time increments called ticks. The smallest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player could affect the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working hard to ensure that CS: GO feels fluid and responsive. A new video shows the biggest improvements to the game, referred to as sub tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick update every millisecond, CS: Go will now be able to use sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. Each of these small increments of time will be recorded by the client and sent to the server, which then return the latest game state to players. The servers will now know the exact moment you fired your shot and jumped, swung or made other inputs.

The video does not go over everything. However it does state that every piece of data sent by the client has a timestamp and that the server collects all data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be capable of sending twice as much data than a 64-tick CS: GO.

This means that even if the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz it will still be able to handle your commands instantly. It's not solely about increasing the tick rate, either; the micro-tick updates will also reduce latency and input lag by ensuring that the server is responding to your actions with no delays or glitches.

It's evident that this is just the beginning of the technological enhancements Valve is making to the game. Valve is currently implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve the way smoke interacts with the environment, and it's upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. All CS cosmetics and weapons will get a facelift with Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The new update coming to Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game, alongside a few classics that are getting facelifts. The updates are currently being tested in a limited beta. The first set includes upgrade and touchstone map that won't see any major changes in gameplay, while other maps have been completely renovated or redesigned with the help of the new Source 2 Tools.

One of them is Overpass was redesigned to make use of the new engine's unified lighting system. The map's dark underground has been filled with light to make it more spacious and less crowded. Additionally, smoke grenades will now expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light.

Italy is a second map that has been overhauled. Its texture, lighting and structure have all been greatly improved. The new version is also more balanced than the predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. In the near future fans can anticipate seeing classics like Aztec and Militia redesigned.

These maps won't be added to the competitive map pool even though they're still playable. The exception is Train, which has been removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't confirmed yet if the other maps that were removed will be added back to the pool.

Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. The change has been deemed controversial. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions towards Ukraine. This map is based off of the conflict-ravaged Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna and includes a number references to the conflict.

In the near future the developer will be releasing a set Source 2 tools for community map makers to make their own maps. This will include features like improved lighting and character reading, as well physical-based rendering systems that creates realistic materials and textures. It will also make real-world objects, such as doors and windows, simpler to create. The update is expected to be released in the summer of this year.
