WHAT is MX Records :

An MX record, or mail exchange record, is a DNS record that routes emails to specified mail servers. MX records essentially point to the IP addresses of a mail server's domain.
MX records are especially useful for users who host or lease an email because it differentiates web and email servers.




HOW to find the MX Records for customers :

How do we know whose MX records to use :


MX record provided by Email provider .

MX records updated at Zone file

Zone file giving by name server (DNS enteries are called zone files )

Name server given by Hosting provider

Name server updated at domain registrar only


A records needs to be checked if a website or hosting is not working in WHOIS .

Whenever a website is not working its mostly beacuse of A records.

WHenever an Email is not working its mostly with the MX records.

TXT records can be added to prevent the email from reaching the spam folder.

IF CX email is not working we need MX record from the cutomer hosting provider . WE are the domain providers so we have the name servers .

I just published the webiste but its not showing because ===it takes 24-48 hrs for the website to get published .





Name servers are always available with the registrar where we buy the domain.

MX Record setting then Zone file / Active DNS ( Name server settings ) We will update the name server where website was made.



BOUNCEBACK : Everytime we sent an email but it comes back is called bounce back ( e.g : suspended email , email service is banned by service provider )

HOW TO FIX EMAIL ISSSUE :


1. Clarify ,Duplicate , Statement of support ,investigate .
2. Make sure the DNS is correct an dnot missing any necessary records. ( A records, CNAMES s, etc )
3. If the customer is using an email client , ahve them try the wembail.
4. if the customer is still having Outlook issue , have them download SARA (M365 only )
5. If that doesnot work , grab a screenshot or a PSR ( Problem Steps recorder ), or detailed information of steps taken .

Website files are hosted on a server, which is most simply described as a remote computer that can be accessed via the internet.
The space on that server, and whatever resources come with it, is what a customer is paying for when they add a hosting product to their account.

The hosting platform, or server space, is the "plot of land" that you will build your business on.
A server can be accessed by anyone on the internet. Anytime you type in a domain name, in your browser and begin your search, you are asking the server to show you the pictures, videos, and text on that website.

The file that a server will look for first, inside of the document root, is called an index file. Its name in most cases is simply “index”, followed by the type of file that it is (e.g. index.html, index.php, etc).
The types of index files that a server will look for and/or can use varies by hosting platform.

To create a website you start with a file, called the index file, that will tell the hosting platform what to show when someone visits the site.

Somewhere else in the world, on a server, there is a document root (folder) that contains an index file (and likely many,
many more files that the index file brings into the mix)
