A highly practical two days with lots of time climbing. The Mountain Training course Rock Skills Introduction is the first day. Day two takes the skills further and consolidates the learning. Once basic safety systems have been discovered, participants will be encouraged to address their own pace, climbing routes within their ability, and become motivated to pursue the sport further.

This is the ideal course for the complete beginner or those with some experience indoors who are currently wanting to head outside and reach grips with real rock. From the fundamentals of movement and balance, to the more technical aspects of anchors and abseiling, this short course covers all the basics for you to be enthused about rock climbing and start experiencing climbing outdoors on your own.

Its a very short drive where we meet to the crag. On the stroll in we can discuss rock climbing guidebooks and how we might selected a specific crag and a route. Once we are there we will start climbing! We check out balance and movement in the vertical realm and learn the skills to safely climb routes suitable for our degree of ability. In the afternoon, we also take a look at abseiling.

This beginner course teaches a solid foundation of climbing-related skills, while permitting lots of time climbing rock. Be prepared to learn a great deal. The curriculum covered in the course includes: knot tying, belaying, rappelling, climbing techniques, and climbing. Learning to rock climb is an experience that you will not soon forget! Climbing with our guides and instructors increases your fun, freedom, and confidence. Confidence stemmed from knowing that you're with a professional and understanding mentor. You'll also gain personal confidence by swiftly improving your climbing skills and knowledge through observation and discussion.

We aim to finish this second day a fraction earlier at about 4:30 pm to allow those not lucky enough to stay in the Peak District some time to get home. Beginner Course Climbing and abseiling, suitable for everyone. We can quickly accommodate all abilities as we can move the ropes onto harder, less complicated, greater or smaller climbs and abseils as needed. Feel free to ask your instructor any questions or try belaying. No experience needed and possibilities to go up to 80-100ft high up on outdoor cliff faces and complete 3-4 climbs/abseils in a 3-hr session.
