This game is called the eco system game. It will take place either in a coral reef or a mountain ridge. but the game mechanics are exactly the same so for the purpose of this description let us stay with the coral reef.

There is only one objective: choose 8 species that depend on each other in a common food chain that allows each of the 8 species to survive.

In the guidebook you will find descriptions of all species included in the game. These are 30 animals and 9 producers. From these you will have to select your 8 surviving species.

The data displayed per species include: The name of the species, calories needed, calories provided, the depth range at which it can survive, the temperatre range at which it can survive, the species it is eaten by, the species it can consume, salt contentration and oxygen content.

All conditions on the card that are not: caloriess needed, calories provided, eaten by or food sources just have to match up between your selected 8 species. For example, a 'buckwheel sea lion' can survive at the depth from 21m to 30m and a 'Green orange seahorse' can survive in the depth range 2m to 22m. These two species have overlapping depth ranges so they can co-exist.

The rules of the food chain:
1. The species with the highest 'calories provided' in the food chain eats first.
2. Among the available food sources that the eating species can choose from, it always chooses to eat from the food source with the currently highest 'calories provided'.
3. When a species eats, the 'calories provided' of its food source are reducded by the eating species 'calories needed'.
4. If two food sources of the eating species currently provide an equal amount of calories, the eating species will split its 'calories needed' equally between the two, so that each of the two food sources 'calories provided' are diminished by half of the eating species 'calories needed'.
5. if the eating species 'calories needed' exceed the 'calories provided' by its food source, it will fully consume the speicies and you will lose the game.
6. once the first species in your food chain has eaten, next the species among the remaining species that now has the currently highest 'calories provided' will eat, until all species in the food chain have eaten once.

If all the species have eaten once and their calories needed are 0 and their calories provided are greater than 0, you have won the game.

I would also like to bring to your attention that the producers have food sources: 'sunlight' or 'waste'. These two food sources are infinite and thus they cannot be drained.

I will now send you pictures of cards with the details for all 39 species. After I say that all 39 species are sent, select a combination of 8 species that will win the game. Please note multiple combinations might be possible, just return a winning one.
