*Hello all! This Month's Newsletter comes from me, Phill! *

What a month it has been and the Admin/Ownership team are so impressed with the dedication this last month. To begin with we have broken the record for hours in a month doing over 500 hours in one month! That's roughly 200 more than the last record which is incredible. We only missed 20 hours in the whole month and running non stop for nearly 12 days which really is incredible. The department has changed so much over the last month saying goodbye to some of our longest members, but while we have lost some big characters, we have gained some big ones too, which swiftly onto our fabulous "Member Of The Month" which this Month goes to a new member and one of our newest Head DJs......... JASON AKA GETSUM200. For many of you this is your first Newsletter, so welcome to the Department of Radio and the first Newsletter!

During this month we have also seen a number of promotions throughout the department so firstly congratulations to Millie who was promoted to an Owner of the department. Also congratulations to Bianca, Cameron, Carissa, Gia, Jason and Mia for all being promoted to Head DJs. Every single one of you deserve it for your dedication to the department ant we hope to see more from you.

*Now to just a few little nitty gritty details before I make some final announcements;*

*- We have made some changes to the rules and guides on the DOR page so please familiarise yourself with these new changes.*
*- We are changing how much you can pre-book per week to give more people opportunities to do hours to balance it out, there will be more information about this on the DOR guide.*
*- Please announce to others if you are un-booking hours just as a courtesy to other people and if you're un-booking an hour just before it starts someone else can fill it in.*

"Hello everyone,
As one of the Owners of the Department of Radio I am very impressed and pleased with everyone within the Department. We have once again broken another DOR record, since opening of the special unit we have never had more than 3 Head DJ’s within the department at once. This following Month we have promoted 6 NEW Head DJ’s, Congratulations to Gia (miszgia), Jason (getsum200), Bianca (biancafrazis_), Carissa (carissafrazis), Mia (cutebaby18674) & Cameron (aerocam24) for being promoted to Head DJ, keep up the fantastic work and commitment towards DOR. The radio is always active and our Monthly timetable is getting full so quickly. The encouragement and support within the team has made a huge impact on each and everyone of our members and our communication has also improved. I would also like to give a quick shout-out to the DOR Admin/Ownership team for their dedication and the amount of time spent in making this special unit grow and be as active as possible. We would have not been able to accomplish these goals without you guys. <3"

I am your queen bow down to me.... JUST KIDDING, IN THE WORDS OF THIS ONE GUY, IN THIS ONE MOVIE ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST, "POWER IS WHEN SEEING YOUR SUBJECT BOW DOWN ASKING FOR MERCY AND FORGIVENESS IN TEARS AND PARDONING HIM" ----------off topic here------- Anyway since January started I am seeing lots and lots of people booking and DJing. We went for almost a whole week, beating our previous record of most hours done in a week. Although we have lots of people booking, I would like to remind you there are lots of other people in DOR looking for hours similar to yours. I am asking to be mindful when booking and don't do 40 hours a week when someone else has done only 3. Other than the massive influx in pre-books, DOR is standing strong and in almost every hour a UN member can tune in and listen to some tunes. I hope we continue this path of DJing and hope we don't end up dead and inactive. I would like to finally address is remember by being in this unit we are ALL FAMILY and please do not argue or cause tension in the chats. As Cyndu says, DOR is the chilliest Dept. there is in UN, we would like to keep it that way by being drama free as possible. That is all I have to address for now, I hope you guys had a good month because I did. It is a new year and it leaves us with 11 more months of improvement and changes in our lives, let us try our best, and let us make sure 2016 becomes the best year possible.

I know this has been a long read, and I know you're probably glad to have gotten to here. Thank you to everyone from the Ownership through to Trial Djs because without all of you the Department Of Radio wouldn't function as it does now.
