-Rehearsals were very productive. I felt like we accomplished a lot at each rehearsal.
-Competition etiquette was great. There was focus in each one (once the members started getting the hang of it).
- Communication between you and the drum majors because I felt like we prepared better when we knew what to expect. Little things I didn't think of like how the members where gonna be affected by the weather, or if something personal happened to them.
-The connection with the freshmen and their section. It encouraged them to be better and also spread the word of marching band and how fun it was.
-the punishments we had for forgetting stuff was justified. It wasn't just mindless running, so it was lesson-learned for most of the members.
-the strictness we had on dot books, hats, etc.
What I want to do more:
-Cut certain people
-Increase the communication between the staff (mostly Mr Tramm :-/)and student leadership. Like maybe a debrief session after rehearsal of what could've been done better, what went well, what should've been avoided, etc. and not just "send role" lol
-personally, PT. (if we have time)
-ooh! maybe on the spot "pass offs." it'll keep the members practicing. haha
