All of these descriptions make you unconsciously define each character with a certain persona, dont they? Well, every day we see hundreds of people whether on the street, at work, at school, or on television. Fortunately or unfortunately, it is human nature to judge these people and form to opinions about them based on their style. Fashion lets us notice people and have an image in our mind of what their life could consist of. For example, at a forensics tournament like this, a judge would most likely take in consideration of how the competitor dressed. It is much more likely for the person who dressed in a crisp, clean suit to win than the person who simply wore a sweater and khakis. While this is all about perception, it ties in with society's view of the importance of fashion. The importance of style and fashion in today's society is very underrated. First, we will trim the building strips of fabric by examining the rich background and history of fashion. Then, let us sew and hem the pieces together to examine why fashion is so important and fundamental to society. Finally, I will try on the garment and show you how fashion has greatly impacted my life.
