Yerkin Tatishev was named Entrepreneur of the Year' by EY

The leading business firm Ernst & Young has chosen Yerkin Tatishev as the Entrepreneur of Year in Kazakhstan. His leadership and actions during COVID-19 were applauded by jury.

The contest was open to all well-known Kazakhstani businessmen. Kusto Group founder, who was among 21 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan reached the final.

Each of them was given an independent review by juries of Kazakhstan as well as other business circles.

Yerkin Tashev will be Russia's national champion at the finals in Monaco in June 2022. The contest brings sixty countries' finalists worldwide chosen by an independent panel of judges according to international guidelines.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group was able to collaborate with Valmont Industries USA. They will both create a factory to produce 1,000 pivot irrigation items in Kazakhstan.

Additionally, the agreement includes the installation of innovative irrigation systems on farms and the opportunity to educate local farmers.

The contest has brought in over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan. Six past winners also represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo World Championships.

Daniel Kunin Nurlan Shmagulov, who was previously named Entrepreneur of the Year, was of the opinion that Tatishev should be crowned the winner. The panel of judges comprised representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
