The Royal 188
The ROYAL 188 is a behind-the-ear digital hearing aid manufactured by Resound. It is designed for mild to profound hearing loss and offers features such as Adaptive Directionality, Environmental Classifier, Noise Tracker II, Wind Guard, Tinnitus Sound Generator and Low Frequency Boost.

The Royal Wayland facility is a large, residential care home with a one-time regulatory allowance to expand and remodel their Dementia Special Care Unit (DSCU). The proposed plan would allow for the addition of twelve private pay beds, increasing the total bed count from forty to fifty-two. The current payer mix of the community is primarily government funded, with 76% covered by Medicaid, 5% by Medicare, and 15% by Managed Care.

The Type 188 was developed as part of support research efforts for the Avro 730, the ultimately cancelled supersonic transport and bomber that was intended to fly at speeds up to Mach 3. The aircraft was Britain’s most expensive military project of the time, requiring relatively exotic puddle welding fabrication techniques and extensive equipment and data recording. The technical data gained from the program was put to good use in future British high speed aerospace efforts, such as the Concorde and BAC TSR-2. The remaining aircraft was donated to the RAF Museum Cosford in Shropshire, England, and is on display. Royal188 was withdrawn from service and transported to the museum for preservation in 1967. Currently, the aircraft is on display as a training aid at the museum. A more complete example, a modified 188C with more fuel capacity and a higher maximum takeoff weight, was operated by the Mexican and Panamanian Air Forces.
