Let’s open the box and talk about Omega Diver 300 m Co-Axial Chronograph 41.5 mm (ref no 212.30.42.50.03.001)
After I got a vintage white dial of Ω Speedmaster 3513.33 (click here) for couple years ago, I’m kindda like this brand so much (actually really like a Snoopy version but the price is gone crazy). Anway let’s stop thinking about Speedmaster for now and it’s time to try another flamboyant diving watch series, a Seamaster instead. Personally I really like a messy dial watch hence I was looking to Chronograph ones. ⏱️ Yes I know, in (my) daily life, this kind of watch is treated as an accessories, only used for looking the time, not for stop watch or other things else at all. Interestingly if you are looking for a dive watch of Omega, they have a lot of series. For example Seamaster Planet Ocean / Aqua Terra / Master Co-Axial / PloProf. Anyway for the design, I think the Seamaster Professional 300m is one of my favourite❤️‍🔥
🌊Lord of the tides. หลักจากเคยได้ Speedmaster 3513.33 (click here) หน้าขาววินเทจมาเรือนนึงก็ติดใจในแบรนด์นี้มากๆ (จริงๆชอบ snoopy แต่งบไม่ถึง) คราวนี้ก็เลยอยากพัก Speedmaster แล้วไปลองอีกหนึ่งซีรีย์นึงที่มีชื่อเสียงสำหรับนาฬิกาดำน้ำพอตัวอย่าง Seamaster แทน และด้วยเป็นคนที่ชอบนาฬิกาที่หน้าปัดยุ่งๆหน่อย ก็เลยลองหาพวกรุ่นหน้าปัดจับเวลา Chornograph มาเป็นตัวเลือก ถึงแม้ในชีวิตจริงแทบจะดูแค่เวลาอย่างเดียวก็ตามที เอาจริงๆแล้วนาฬิกาแนวดำน้ำ หรือ Dive watch series ของ Omega ก็ยังมีรุ่นอื่นอีกเช่น Seamaster… Planet Ocean / Aqua Terra / Master Co-Axial / PloProf ที่มีหน้าตาต่างกันออกไป แต่ส่วนตัวค่อนข้างถูกจริตกับดีไซน์ของ Seamaster Professional 300m ซะมากกว่า 🏖️
⛵See how it makes you shine. Speaking about the 1st gen of Seamaster Professional “Chrono” Diver Professtional 300M, I think we have to go back around year 2000. (for entire Seamaster series, it could be originally started since World War II). The lastest model of Seamaster should be the 3rd generation, released in year 2018–2019. Of course, the new model is developed in term of mechanisim and design, and as you man know, the price… is increased.
Somehow, the model is chosen and be in my hand right now, is the second generation of Seamaster Professional 300m chronograph. The herritage of shape and design from the 1st gen still passed to this model while the mechanic inside is updated to Omega in-house calibre. The 2nd gen was release in 2013 which is not too far from the newest one (year 2019) but a bit far from its pioneer generation in 2000.
หากพูดถึง Seamaster Professional “Chrono” Diver Professtional 300M รุ่นแรกต้องย้อนกลับไปประมาณปี 2000 บวก/ลบปีนิดหน่อย (แต่ถ้านับเฉพาะซีรี่ย์ Seamaster นั้นเริ่มมีตั้งแต่ช่วง World War II) จนมาถึงรุ่นปัจจุบันที่น่าจะเรียกได้ว่าเป็นเจนเนอร์เรชั่นที่ 3 ซึ่งออกมาในปี 2018–2019 รุ่นใหม่ก็มีการปรับปรุงและเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทางที่ดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆอย่างมาก (และราคาก็แพงมากเช่นกัน🤑) แต่รุ่นที่อยู่ในมือและจะพูดถึงกันในวันนี้จะเป็นเจนที่อยู่ในช่วงกึ่งกลางของ 2 โมเดลนั้น หรือก็คือเจนที่ 2 นั่นเอง ที่ยังมีกลิ่นอายดีไซน์ทรงคลาสสิคจากรุ่นแรก และอัพเดทกลไกจากปีที่ใหม่ขึ้้น จากการหาข้อมูล พบว่าเจ้าเจนเนเรชั่นที่ 2 ที่ว่านี้เริ่มขายในช่วงปี 2013 ซึ่งก็อาจจะไม่ห่างกับรุ่นใหม่มากนัก แต่ก็จะห่างกับรุ่นแรกพอสมควรสำหรับโมเดล Chronograph (หากเรื่องปีผิดพลาดต้องขออภัย)
Flaunt it with pride. There are couple reasons that made me choose this chronograph dial. This model has 2 available sizes which are 41.5mm (212.30.42.50.03.001) and 44mm (212.30.44.50.03.001) and good news you can have a black or blue in each size. So it’s a good thing that you have a choice for your wrist’s size and it’s a first reason I pick this model up. Unlike the previous one, movement of this model is now in house : COSC-certified Omega Caliber 3330 automatic chronograph movement which has got a power reserve for 52 hrs. The signature of Omega’s legacy like Co-Axial Escapement and i14 balance spring comes together to make sure the watch will be accurate as it should be. Normally the discrepancy is approximately -4 to +6 seconds per day. 😎🏞️
In additional, I don’t see a Chronometer certified card, it comes with an International warranty and Pictogram card for this model. Somehow you can see the logo of COSC-certified chronometer calibres logo in Pictogram card.
จริงๆมันก็มีหลายอย่างให้คิดว่าทำไมถึงเลือกรุ่นนี้ เรื่องแรกก็น่าจะเป็นเรื่องของหน้าปัดนาฬิกา ส่วนใหญ่พวกนาฬิกา Chronograph นั้นค่อนข้างมีขนาดใหญ่ แต่สำหรับเจนสองอย่างรุ่น 212.30.42.50.03.001 นี้นั้นนอกจากดีไซน์ที่ดูดีขึ้น ก็ยังมีขนาดให้เลือกสองขนาดก็คือ 41.5mm และ 44mm ซึ่งเราสามารถเลือกตามความชอบและความเหมาะของขนาดข้อมือของเราได้ ถึงแม้ความหนาและน้ำหนักจะมีค่อนข้างมากตามสไตล์นาฬิกาดำน้ำ และถ้าพูดถึงตัวเครื่อง รุ่นนี้ก็ได้ให้เครื่อง in house : Calibre 3330 สามารถสำรองพลังงานได้ 52 ชม. มาพร้อมกลไกที่เป็นเทคโนโลยีหลักของ Omega ที่เรียกว่า Co-Axial Escapement และยังมี Si14 balance spring เพื่อเพิ่มความเที่ยงตรงของกลไก รวมไปถึง มีสัญลักษณ์ COSC-certified chronometer calibres (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) ในใบ Pictogram ว่ามันผ่านการตรวจสอบหลายด่านว่ามีความเที่ยงตรงจริงๆนะ โดยจะมีช่วงคลาดเคลื่อนประมาณไม่เกิน -4 ถึง +6 วินาทีต่อวัน
Add value to your attire. The second thing I pick is about a modern design with unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel. Ok this is quite subjective, the 1st gen has got a frequent wave dial, while the 3rd gen comes with laser cut beautiful dial. Both of them covered with the same theme. Unlike the 2nd gen, it is obviously different since there is no wave pattern at all, just dark colour on ceramic dial. It may not get your sight with the wave dial but it contrarily comes with long red hand and sub dial hands which are outstanding from the dark colour ✨
อีกเหตุผลที่สำคัญไม่ต่างกับอย่างแรกก็คือเรื่องของดีไซน์ เริ่มจากขอบเบเซลที่เป็นเซรามิกแทนที่จะเป็นอลูมิเนียมแบบรุ่นก่อน พร้อมกับตัวเลขบนเบเซลที่ใหญ่ขึ้น แม้ว่าจะไม่มีลายคลื่นบนหน้าปัดเหมือนในรุ่นแรกและรุ่นใหม่ แต่ก็ถูกแทนด้วยลูกเล่นของสีแดงของเข็มเล็กๆด้านในที่เด้งตัดกับหน้าปัดเรียบๆสีน้ำเงินเข้ม ทำให้ธีมสีของนาฬิกาไม่ได้จืดชืดด้วยธีมสีเดียวจนเกินไป
Last reason should be the price, another factor that make you easily pull the trigger. Luckily, for now, Japanese Yen is dramatically depreciated so the watch’s price in Japan is cheaper than, others. Also there are many models availabe in Japan market for both new items and second hands. For used item, mostly the seller in Japan are honest and can be trust. They always state the rank condition of the selling watches. Importatnly, it’d be great idea if you can ask them for more photos to recheck again before making a purchase 🥇
ปัจจัยสุดท้ายก็คือราคาหรือค่าเงิน ชอบแค่ไหนแต่ถ้าราคาไม่ได้ มันก็ไม่ได้ โชคดีที่ค่าเงินเยนของญี่ปุ่นที่อ่อนลงมากๆนั้น ทำให้ราคาเมี่อเทียบกับประเทศอื่นๆก็ถูกลงด้วยเช่นกัน และในตลาดญี่ปุ่นยังมีตัวเลือกในหลายๆร้านที่พอหาได้อยู่ด้วย ที่จริงในช่องทางออนไลน์ของใน Rakuten หรือ Yahoo Japan นั้นก็ยังพอมีพวกร้านแบรนด์เนมมือสอง/ร้านนาฬิกาดังๆลงไว้กันเรื่อยๆอยู่แล้ว อย่างไรก็ตามการซื้อของออนไลน์นั้น ยิ่งถ้าเราไม่ได้ไปเห็นสินค้าด้วยตัวเอง ก็ควรให้ความสำคัญกับเครดิตผู้ขาย รวมถึงรูปสินค้าหลายๆมุม หากไม่ชัดเจนต้องพยามขอให้เห็นให้มากที่สุดก่อนตัดสินใจซื้อ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ผู้ขายในญี่ปุ่น จะระบุสภาพไว้อย่างชัดเจน เช่น S = ใหม่ไร้รอย, A = เป็นมือสองแต่สภาพเหมือนใหม่, AB = มีร่องรอยเล็กน้อย.. ไปจนถึง C หรือ D กันเลย
Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters. How it feels on my wrist, honestly this dive watch is one thick watch, but what you notice more than its thickness is its weight. Though usually chrnonograph watches may have more weight & thickness than non-chronograph, you will feel it anyway. Moreover, it’s feel solid under calm shell bezel. The body is beautiful brushed-finished stainless steel case with polished edges. The right side you will have 2 buttons and crown. While you may not familiar with a helium escape valve on the left side, the one that I, an office employee will never have a chance to use. ⚓
หลังจากที่ได้ลองใส่ดู สิ่งแรกที่รู้สึกเลยคือ น้ำหนัก Seamaster Prof. 300M Chronograph ที่มีพอควร ตัวเรือนให้ความรู้สึกที่หนัแน่นแน่นภายใต้ขอบเบเซลทรงหอยพัดที่หมุนได้(ทางเดียว) คือจริงๆแล้วพวกนาฬิกาที่ฟังก์ชั่นจับเวลา chronograph และกันน้ำได้เยอะๆก็จะมีความหนาและน้ำหนักมากกว่าอยู่แล้ว หากไม่ค่อยได้ใส่นาฬิกาพวกนี้มันก็จะรู้สึกได้ทันทีเลย ต่อกันที่ด้านข้างของตัวเรือนจะเป็นอลูมิเนียมขัดอย่างสวยงาม ความแตกต่างของทั้งสองฝั่งก็คือ ปุ่ม crown และ โครโนกราฟอยู่ทางด้านขวา ส่วนทางซ้ายจะมีแค่ helium escape valve ซึ่งเป็นฟังก์ชั่นสำหรับนักดำน้ำซะมากกว่าที่พนักงานออฟฟิศจะได้ใช้ ส่วนความลึกในการดำน้ำนั้นก็เป็นไปตามชื่อรุ่น ก็คือ 300 เมตรนั่นเอง
Class is crafted, not just found. I don’t have a large wrist, around 16 cm so it is definietly better for 41.5mm (VS 44mm) dial size. The dark blue ceramic dial still give the elegance feeling, it can be refect with the lights. The bezel is also blue too some how it’s more matte than the dial. Hour and minute hands still be the same of skeleton style, of course with the lume. The long second hand play different with the red colour, it’s very slim hand, still come with the small lume. Overall we will see the smooth blue dial watch and distingusih with small red hands, it feels like I have a little bit excitement in the peaceful place. Talking about the lume, the brightness is just ok. It’s better than the 1st gen but not even close to the latest one, that one is super bright💡
ลองใส่กับข้อมือประมาณ 16 cm📏นั้นก็ไม่ได้ใหญ่ไปมากนัก หน้าปัดสีน้ำเงินเข้มกับวัสดุเซรามิกให้ความรู้สึกที่ดูหรู และสะท้อนวาวกับแสงได้ดี ทำให้เห็นหลายเฉดสีน้ำเงิน และเมื่อโดนแสงในมุมต่างๆจะทำให้ดูไม่น่าเบื่อเลย และถ้าเทียบกับขอบเบเซลนั้น ตัวขอบจะมีลักษณะเป็นสีน้ำเงินด้านกว่าหน้าปัดหน่อยๆ ตัวเข็มหลักๆที่บอกเวลาในหลักชั่วโมงและนาทียังคงซิกเนเจอร์ skeleton style มาพร้อม lume หรือพรายน้ำที่พร้อมส่องแสงในความมืด แตกต่างกับเข็มวินาทีที่เป็นเข็มที่ยาวที่สุดในหน้าปัด ซึ่งในรุ่นนี้จะใช้สีแดงแบบเพรียวบางทั้งเล่ม และยังให้พรายน้ำจุดเล็กๆที่ปลายเข็มอยู่ด้วยเช่นเดิม ซึ่งภาพรวมเราจะเห็นหน้าปัดสีน้ำเงินจะถูกตัดด้วยเข็มวินาทีและเข็มโครโนกราฟเล็กสีแดงที่ 3 และ 6 นาฬิกา ลูกเล่นสีแดงตัดแซมกับสีน้ำเงินให้ความรู้สึกถึงที่ตื่นเต้นและสปอร์ทขึ้นมาเล็กน้อยจากความเข้มเงียบของหน้าปัด 🔴 🔵แต่ความสว่างของพรายน้ำที่ดูดีขึ้นจากรุ่นก่อนนั้น ก็ยังห่างไกลกับ Superluminova ของ Seamasterโฉมปัจจุบัน หรือ Planet Ocean ที่สว่างมากๆพอควรเลย
A bit detail on tripple sub dials, their background are like a disc surface and light blue comparing to its dial. ⏱️It seems like this hronometer is a traditional style, consist of 30 mins clock timer at 3 o’clock, 12 hrs clock timer at 6 o’clock with the date window and a small seconds hand sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Moreover the Helium Escape Valve button sit at 10 o’clock on the case edge (press to release helium gas out of the watch for diver), and it is also an integrated date corrector too. This point is a bit weird, since you have to find something like a pin to press on the center of heliium button to adjust the date📅
ในส่วน sub-dials ด้านในทั้ง 3 หน้าปัดย่อยนั้นจะมีพื้นผิวคล้ายๆโลหะลายวงๆเหมือนแผ่นดิสก์ และมีสีที่อ่อนต่างจากหน้าปัดเซรามิกเล็กน้อย สำหรับ Chronometer แบบ traditional นั้นจะประกอบไปด้วย ตัวจับเวลาแบบนาทีอยุ่บนหน้าปัดย่อย(sub dial) ที่ 3 นาฬิกา สูงสุด 30 นาที(ซึ่งน่าจะอ่านค่าง่ายกว่าแบบ 60 นาที) ในขณะที่ตรงบริเวณ 6 นาฬิกาจะเป็นแบบจับเวลาแบบชั่วโมง สูงสุด 12 ชม ซึ่งตรงนี้จะมีช่องหน้าต่างสำหรับแสดงวันที่อยู่ด้วย และ ที่ 9 นาฬิกาจะเป็นเข็มวินาทีย่อยอีกอัน ส่วนบริเวณด้านนอกหน้าปัดช่วง 10 นาฬิกา จะเป็นที่อยู่ของปุ่ม Helium Escape Valve ฟังก์ชั่นของคนดำน้ำลึกที่จะปล่อยก๊ากฮีเลี่ยมออกจากนาฬิกา เพื่อไม่ให้มันขยายตัวจนดันนาฬิกาพัง และปุ่มนี้ยังสามารถปรับวันที่ได้อีกด้วย ซึ่งค่อนข้างประหลาดและไม่ค่อยง่ายที่จะใช้ เพราะแทนที่เราจะปรับวันที่ง่ายๆด้วยการหมุนเม็ดมะยมนั้น จะต้องหาอะไรแหลมๆเล็กๆมากดที่ตรงกลางของปุ่มฮีเลี่ยมวาร์วเพื่อปรับวันที่
A perfect time will decide your best move. The new model has got a sapphire crystal backcase to show its movement but this is not gonna happened for the 2nd gen. It’s still an old design with solid back hardcase with Omega Seahorse logo. The becelet design is 9-link, I don’t know much about the becelet but it’s the combination of polish and matte pieces. I can sense the material quality but it gains a weight too. The buckle is a little bit long shape, come with the Diver extenstion for quick adjust the length. This function is good to have but I have no idea that I’ve a chance to use it in daily life.
ส่วนเคสด้านหลังที่ให้มานั้นยังเป็นแบบเก่า คือไม่เป็นกระจกโชว์ให้เห็นเครื่องออโต้เมติคด้านใน แต่จะเห็นเคสที่ค่อนข้างหนาพร้อมสัญลักษณ์ Seahorse ของ Omega ที่เห็นกันเป็นประจำอยู่แทน สำหรับสายนั้นเท่าที่ดูยังเป็นแบบ 9-link design ทั่วไป มีลักษณะด้านซะเป็นส่วนใหญ่ตัดกับแบบเงาซี่เล็กๆด้านใน ตัวสายให้ความรู้สึกแข็งแรงมั่นคง แต่ก็แลกด้วยน้ำหนักพอประมาณเลย ตัวล็อกสายลักษณะค่อนข้างยาว แต่ก็ไม่ได้ยาวมาก มีความหนาพอประมาณ ด้วยน้ำหนักรวมของนาฬิกากับสายนั้น น่าจะต้องปรับแต่งสายให้พอดีกับตัวนาฬิกา ไม่อย่างนั้นจะทำให้นาฬิกาเลื่อนไปมาด้านในด้านนึงตามน้ำหนัก ตรงบริเวณตัวล็อกสายยังมี Diver Extension 🦭 สำหรับปรับความยาวสายเล็กน้อยได้ง่ายๆเวลาใส่ชุดดำน้ำ แต่ในชีวิตจริงจะได้ปรับใช้กับเวลาใส่พวกสูทหรือพวกเสื้อกันหนาวซะมากกว่า
Helium Escapte Valve จริงๆแล้วก็ไม่ได้เกี่ยวกับการดำน้ำโดยตรง แต่เหมาะกับกลุ่มคนที่จะต้องใช้ชีวิตอยู่ใต้น้ำนานหลายวันและออกไปทำงานใต้ท้องทะเลน้ำระดับนี้ที่ความลึกมากกว่า 60 เมตร และเวลาอยู่ในสถานที่ใต้น้ำนั้นแม้ว่าจะมีการปรับแรงดันภายในห้องแล้วแต่ก็ยังถือว่าสูงกว่าปกติ ดังนั้น จึงมีการใช้ก๊าซเฉื่อยอย่าง Helium หรือ Hydrogen ผสมกับ Oxygen แทนที่จะเป็น Nitrogen ผสมกับ Oxygen เหมือนอากาศทั่วไป เพื่อช่วยเพิ่มความสะดวกในการหายใจภายใต้ห้องที่มีแรงดันมากๆ ซึ่งความเบาของก๊าซ Helium จะไม่ทำให้เกิดฟองอากาศในเส้นเลือด-เนื้อเยื่อ และสลายตัวออกจากร่างกายได้เร็ว แต่ด้วยขนาดของโมเลกุลของ Helium ที่เล็กกว่าก๊าซอื่นๆเมื่ออยู่ในห้องใต้น้ำนั้นนานๆ โมเลกุลเหล่านี้ก็จะเล็ดรอดและแทรกซึมเข้าไปสะสมอยู่ภายในนาฬิกา และตรงนี้เองที่จะมีการขยายตัวโดยจะสัมพันธ์กับระดับแรงดัน ซึ่งตัวแรงดันเองก็จะสัมพันธ์กับระดับความลึก ส่งผลให้ก๊าซ Helium ที่อยู่ในตัวนาฬิกามีการขยายตัวเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง หรือก็คือมันพองตัวและสามารถดันกระจกกระเด็นหลุดออกมาจากตัวเรือน ตัวปุ่ม escape นี่ก็จะช่วยปล่อยก๊าซ Helium ออกจากนาฬิกานั่นเอง
Watches not only take they give as well 🌠 For me, I am happy with Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Chronograph 41.5mm (212.30.44.50.03.001). It gives the luxurious looks, also tight and sturdy feeling, material is highend as other Omega style. I would say this one a great all-rounder watch, it has a class with a little sporty, it can go with casual day or dress suit. I love the blue dial, I think if you don’t have one, the 1st colour you should have for Seamaster series should be blue. Perhaps I’ve an inspiration from Jame Bonds film (Pierce Brosnan wore 1st gen a non chronograph with blue dial and advertised long time ago). Other facts that I should tell is about its weight (207g) and thickness (17mm). Of course you will feel it fo sure, howver, the bracelet does have small enough half-size links to allow for precise fine-tuning, and once you got it right, it feels solid and comfortable on the wrist. Anyway if you are look for a light watch, perhaps this may not suit you. For the part that I don’t like is about adjusting the date on the helium valve button, it’s something that Omega should have done easier.
ภาพรวมนาฬิกา Ω Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Chronograph 41.5mm (212.30.44.50.03.001) ยังให้ความรู้สึกที่หรูหรา ดูแน่นแข็งแรง วัสดุระดับดีมากตามสไตล์โอเมก้า เรียกว่าเป็น all-rounder ที่ดีรุ่นนึงได้เลย มีความสปอร์ทเบาๆด้วยลูกเล่นบนหน้าปัดแต่ไม่ได้จ๋ามากแต่มีคลาส จะใส่ในวันสบายๆหรือจะออกงานก็ได้เช่นกัน มีความคลาสสิคในดีไซส์ แต่กลไกภายในไม่ได้เก่ามากนัก หน้าปัดขนาด 41.5mm ไม่ได้ใหญ่เกินไป ส่วนตัวคิดว่าหน้าปัดสีน้ำเงินให้ความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของตระกูล Seamaster อาจจะเพราะคุ้นชิ้นกับตั้งแต่หนังเจมส์บอนด์ ที่ Pierce Brosnan ใส่หน้าปัดสีน้ำเงินแสดงใน James Bond และถูกเอาไปโฆษณามากมาย ส่วนสิ่งที่จะต่างกับนาฬิการุ่นอื่นและหลายๆคนอาจจะไม่ชินสำหรับนาฬิกาเรือนนี้ ก็น่าจะเป็นเรื่องของน้ำหนัก ที่มีมากพอสมควรราวๆ 207 grams แม้อาจจะไม่ได้มากมายนักสำหรับนาฬิกาดำน้ำแต่ก็พอรู้สึกได้ แต่ถ้าปรับความยาวสายให้เหมาะดีๆกับข้อมือก็ไม่ได้มีปัญหาอะไร ไม่ได้รู้สึกนาฬิกาเหวี่ยงน้ำหนักบนข้อมือ อีกจุดหนึ่งก็จะเป็นปุ่มวาล์ว helium ทางด้านซ้ายที่ยื่นออกมาเล็กน้อย ทำให้อาจจะรู้สึกรำคาญในช่วงแรกๆ แต่ก็ยังไม่น่ารำคาญเท่าการปรับวันที่แบบต้องจิ้มที่ปุ่มตรงนี้
