-Çağırın Ali'yi diye buyurur. Hz. Ali gelir, Peygamber Hz. Ali' ye sorar;
-Ya Ali! Birisi sana kötülük yaparsa sen ne yaparsın?
Cevap verir;
İyilik yaparım, der. 7 kez tekrar eder. Hz. Ali 7 kez "iyilik yaparım" der. Son defa sorunca da o iyilikler şahı şu mükemmel cevabı verir;
-Ya Resulullah! Kötülük yapan kötülüğünden usanmıyorsa, ben iyilik yapmaktan niye usanayım ki. ..!der.
