For example, voice chat and video chat are good for talking to a family member, but bad for talking to a stranger.

To sum up, email, instant messaging, chat, voice chat, and video chat are different communication mediums that we use because of IT. They have different features, benefits, and drawbacks, depending on the situation and purpose of our communication.
