The Philippines is mainly an agricultural country, where a significant number of people in rural areas rely on farming for their livelihood. In 2022, about 25% of employed Filipinos were engaged in agriculture, which includes farming, fishing, livestock, and forestry. This sector contributed around 1.78 trillion Philippine pesos to the country's GDP, accounting for approximately 8.9% of the total GDP. Although the agricultural industry faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, it showed signs of recovery in 2022, although at a slower pace compared to before the pandemic. The farming and fishing sub-sectors are particularly important, benefiting from the country's terrain and tropical climate. Key crops such as sugarcane, rice, coconut, and bananas have high production levels and are major export products. Additionally, the export of oil fruits, nuts, and animal or vegetable fats has made a significant contribution to the overall agricultural exports. In 2022, sugarcane was the leading crop produced in the Philippines, followed by rice, coconut, and bananas, which also had substantial production volumes.

Agriculture is growing crops, caring for animals, and engaging in other activities related to food production. Agriculture is one of the livelihoods of Filipinos living in the Philippines. Many people used to make a small garden and grow plants. This plant depends on conventional breeding watering and feeding. In our busy daily lives, many people forget to water their plants and because of this, they forget about them (Shivaraj et al., 2018). Gardens and plants suffered from many illnesses and eventually died. There’s a world on the other side. The biggest problem in modern society is the lack of water resources.
