Platforms Manager

Compensation: $70,000/year plus bonus and benefits
Alliant Content’s mission is to distribute and display documentary video content to online video
streaming platforms as well as its proprietary subscription service, MagellanTV.

The role of Platforms Manager is integral to the success of the company, and a key component in making sure every video asset is being utilized to its fullest capacity. The Platforms Manager is responsible for managing the uploading of digital media assets to designated AVOD and FAST video streaming partners, managing relationships with those platforms, and tracking viewership trends of company-managed content. The Platforms Manager must be solution and growth-focused with an aptitude for strategic time management. The Platforms Manager reports directly to the SVP of Content and has no direct reports.

Essential Functions:
• Assume full responsibility for the management of content submission, content delivery, and upload and delivery schedules to all designated platforms, including but not limited to: Tubi, PlutoTV, XUMO, VIZIO, Roku, YouTube, and FreeVee.
• Manage and maintain relationships with streaming partners’ account managers through clear and concise communication and readiness to provide requested assets and information.
• Develop strategy to optimize content across all designated platforms, and ensure each title is exploited to its maximum potential across platforms.
• Work closely with the SVP of Content to help fulfill the ongoing and dynamic needs of the Acquisitions Department.

Responsibilities:
• Understand and execute each platform’s submission and upload requirements and specifications with accuracy.
• Define, set, and keep to an uploading cadence that ensures content is regularly being delivered to all platforms.
• Communicate regularly with the SVP of Content to understand which content and/or providers need to be prioritized in the uploading pipeline.
• Keep Alliant Content’s database up-to-date and accurate at all times.
• Complete all metadata, avails, and other onboarding documents accurately and at a pace that keeps up with set deadlines.
• Maintain an understanding of upcoming and current contracts with content providers, and ensure they are accurately entered into the database.
• Maintain an understanding of Alliant Content’s catalog in its entirety.
• Assist the SVP of Content with any revenue report needs, data entry needs, or database maintenance needs.

Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and begin projects independently
• The ability to work flexible hours throughout the workweek
• Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop
• Broad computer skills and tech savviness
• Ability to create own goals, projects, schedules and deadlines
• Ability to multitask and handle many projects at once
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new procedures and take on new tasks when needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical skills required: ability to see, sit, and read and write the English language
