Coronary microvascular disease (CMVD) can affect the structure, function, and metabolism of the heart, and has an important impact on the occurrence, development and prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Shexiang Tongxin dropping pill (STDP) can dilate blood vessels, alleviate inflammation, reduce endothelial damage, and improve coronary microvascular function in mice with myocardial infarction. This study aims to assess the impact of STDP on stable coronary artery disease (SCAD) patients with normal FFR and CMVD.

This is a single-center, prospective randomized trial that will enroll 64 SCAD patients, CAD with normal FFR and CMVD. Patients will be randomly divided into study group and control group in a 11 fashion. On the basis of conventional drug treatment, the former will receive STDP while the latter will not. Anisomycin ic50 The follow-up period of the subjects is 12 months, and clinical follow-up will be conducted before discharge, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after procedure to complete the detection of relevant indicators. The primary endpoint is the change of index of microcirculatory resistance (ΔIMR) at 12-month follow-up.

The present study will be the first randomized control study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of STDP on SCAD patients, CAD with normal FFR and CMVD, which will provide a broader idea and more experimental basis for improving the treatment of CMVD.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease with the highest incidence and high mortality in the world. Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) can significantly accelerate the progression of the disease. Pulmonary rehabilitation is one of the effective treatment methods in COPD patients, but few studies have focused on the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation in AECOPD patients. Liuzijue can improve the pulmonary function and relieve symptoms of COPD patients. However, due to the influence of disease and non-invasive ventilation (NIV), AECOPD patients have poor compliance with getting out of bed at the early stage. Sitting and lying Liuzijue is more suitable in AECOPD patients with NIV. Therefore, this study will evaluate the effect of sitting and lying Liuzijue for lung function, exercise endurance, and quality of life in AEOPD patients with NIV.

Smoking is well-known to increase cancer risk, particularly risk of lung cancer, and negatively affects efficacy of cancer treatment. link2 However, recent evidence suggests that among cancer patients, paradoxically, smokers respond to treatment better than non-smokers. We propose to conduct a focused review and meta-analysis to compare response to drug treatment between smoking and non-smoking cancer patients.

We will collect data from large clinical trials of therapies for cancer patients which have included smokers and non-smokers. We will search PubMed, PMC/ MEDLINE, SCOPUS, Embase, and the registries for clinical trials and four major clinical journals up to June 30, 2019. Search terms will be "Drug name" phase-3" or "Drug name" phase-III." Data collection will be focused on randomized clinical trials of cancer drugs that enrolled at least 100 participants and reporting treatment results from smoking and nonsmoking patients. Initial selection criteria will be clinical trial studies of drug treatment of 100 or more cancer patients, and reporting hazard ratios (HR) for smokers and non-smokers. Two persons will be searching such publications independently, or data will be provided, double checked, or confirmed by authors. Multiple sub-group analyses will be conducted by at least two persons to avoid bias or experimental errors.

The results will clarify whether smoking and response to treatment of cancer are linked not. Our results may possibly identify drug/s that work better among cancer patients who are smokers.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the presence of some specific aqueous humor (AH) soluble biomarkers in eyes affected by UM. Thirty-five eyes affected by primary UM and 35 control eyes, scheduled for cataract surgery, underwent full ophthalmic examination and AH sampling at time of surgery (brachytherapy or cataract surgery, respectively). AH samples were analyzed by means of ELISA, to detect the concentration of selected cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors. Compared with the control group, higher levels of IL-6 (P = .049), IL-8 (P = .006), RANTES (P = .008), EGF (P = .032), bFGF (P = .016), MIF (P = .007), and MCP (P = .020) were detected in eyes with UM. VEGF concentration between the two groups was statistically borderline (P = .058). Comparison between clinical characteristics and cytokine concentrations showed a positive correlation between tumor thickness and IL-8 (P = .032), and degree of serous retinal detachment and IL-6 (P = .021). UM is characterized by the presence of retinal neuroinflammatory, angiogenic, and immune biomarkers in AH. The proteomic analysis of AH could characterize UM microenvironment, allowing to better understand its pathophysiology.

Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) involving the choroid plexus is exceedingly rare. The differential diagnosis for choroid plexus enhancing lesions in addition to lymphoma includes infections, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, papilloma, meningioma, subependymoma, and metastatic lesions.

A 71-year-old man presented with 3 days of episodic memory loss and gait disturbance. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed homogenously enhancing lesions with mildly restricted diffusion and T2 hypointensity in the lateral ventricles, as well as T2 hyperintensity and enhancement in the right hippocampus. His episodic memory loss was thought to be secondary to subclinical focal seizures, supported by EEG revealing right temporal lobe epileptiform discharges.

Using the lateral epicondyle as a reference point, the lateral femur was divided into sections by distance and angle, and the minimum area was evaluated to assess the relationship between the elongation factor and aperture position of the lateral cortex for each bundle. The incidence and associated clinical performance regarding cortical button migration were also investigated.Aperture elongation factors were 120.2 ± 13.3% and 120.0 ± 16.3% on the anteromedial (AM) and posterolateral (PL) sides, respectively. Femoral tunnel elongation was smallest when the entry point axis were both between 30 to 60° and distance was between 10 to 20 mm and 0 to 10 mm on the AM and PL sides, respectively. During the postoperative follow-up period, intra-tunnel migration was confirmed in 4 of 75 cases (5.3%). Fixation failure neither affected clinical scores nor knee laxity.Areas of minimum elongation for each bundle on both AM and PL sides were found anteroproximally to the lateral epicondyle and positioned near each other.
