In the field of bioinformatics, feature selection in classification of cancer is a primary area of research and utilized to select the most informative genes from thousands of genes in the microarray. Microarray data is generally noisy, is highly redundant, and has an extremely asymmetric dimensionality, as the majority of the genes present here are believed to be uninformative. The paper adopts a methodology of classification of high dimensional lung cancer microarray data utilizing feature selection and optimization techniques. The methodology is divided into two stages; firstly, the ranking of each gene is done based on the standard gene selection techniques like Information Gain, Relief-F test, Chi-square statistic, and T-statistic test. As a result, the gathering of top scored genes is assimilated, and a new feature subset is obtained. In the second stage, the new feature subset is further optimized by using swarm intelligence techniques like Grasshopper Optimization (GO), Moth Flame Optimization (MFO), Bacterial Foraging Optimization (BFO), Krill Herd Optimization (KHO), and Artificial Fish Swarm Optimization (AFSO), and finally, an optimized subset is utilized. The selected genes are used for classification, and the classifiers used here are Naïve Bayesian Classifier (NBC), Decision Trees (DT), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN). The best results are shown when Relief-F test is computed with AFSO and classified with Decision Trees classifier for hundred genes, and the highest classification accuracy of 99.10% is obtained.Breast cancer has become a menacing form of cancer among women accounting for 11.6% of total deaths of 9.6 million due to all types of cancer every year all over the world. Early detection increases chances of survival and reduces the cost of treatment as well. Screening modalities such as mammography or thermography are used to detect cancer early; thus, several lives can be saved with timely treatment. But, there are interpretational failures on the part of the radiologists to read the mammograms or thermograms and also there are interobservational and intraobservational differences between them. So, the degree of variations among the different radiologists in the interpretation of results is very high resulting in false positives and false negatives. The double reading can reduce the human errors involved in the interpretation of mammograms. But, the limited number of medical professionals in developing or underdeveloped countries puts a limitation on this remedial way. So, a computer-aided system (CAD) ison accuracy almost at par with mammography for classifying the cancerous breasts from healthy ones with classification accuracies of thermography and mammography being 96.57% and 98.11%, respectively. Thermography is found to have much better accuracy in identifying benign cases from the malignant ones with the classification accuracy of 92.70% as compared to 82.05% with mammography. This will result in the early detection of cancer. The advantage of being portable and inexpensive makes thermography an attractive modality to be used in economically backward rural areas where mammography is not practically possible. For football players who participate in sports, the word "health" is extremely important. Athletes cannot create their own value in competitive competitions without a strong foundation. Scholars have paid a lot of attention to athlete health this year, and many analysis methods have been proposed, but there have been few studies using neural networks. As a result, this article proposes a novel wearable device-based smart football player health prediction algorithm based on recurrent neural networks. To begin, this article employs wearable sensors to collect health data from football players. The time step data are then fed into a recurrent neural network to extract deep features, followed by the health prediction results. The collected football player health dataset is used in this paper to conduct experiments. The simulation results prove the reliability and superiority of the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, the algorithm presented in this paper can serve as a foundation for the football team's and coaches' scientific training plans.
To explore the application value of ultrasound image based on back propagation (BP) neural network algorithm in knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and evaluate the application effect and value of ultrasound image technology based on the BP neural network in the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis cartilage lesions, 98 patients who were admitted to our hospital were diagnosed with KOA and had undergone arthroscopic soft tissue examinations were randomly selected. According to whether image processing was performed, the ultrasound images of all patients were divided into two groups. The control group was image before processing, and the experimental group was image after processing optimization. The consistency of the inspection results of the ultrasound images before and after the processing with the arthroscopy results was compared. The results showed that the staging accuracy of the control group was 68.3% and that of the experimental group was 76.9%. The accuracy of staging cartilage degeneration of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was not remarkable (
> 0.05). The kappa coefficient of the experimental group was 0.61, and that of the control group was 0.40. The kappa coefficient of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was significant (
< 0.05).

The inspection effect of the ultrasound image processed by the BP neural network was superior to that of the conventional ultrasound image. It reflected the good adoption prospect of neural networks in image processing.

Several biological and therapeutic functions have been attributed to statins, including neuroprotection, antioxidation, anti-inflammation, and anticancer effects. Pharmacological characteristics of statins have been attributed to their involvement in the modulation of several cellular signaling pathways. Over the past few years, the therapeutic role of statins has partially been attributed to the induction of autophagy, which is critical in maintaining cellular homeostasis and accounts for the removal of unfavorable cells or specific organelles within cells. Dysregulated mechanisms of the autophagy pathway have been attributed to the etiopathogenesis of various disorders, including neurodegenerative disorders, malignancies, infections, and even aging. Autophagy functions as a double-edged sword during tumor metastasis. On the one hand, it plays a role in inhibiting metastasis through restricting necrosis of tumor cells, suppressing the infiltration of the inflammatory cell to the tumor niche, and generating the release of mediators that induce potent immune responses against tumor cells. On the other hand, autophagy has also been associated with promoting tumor metastasis. Several anticancer medications which are aimed at inducing autophagy in the tumor cells are related to statins. This review article discusses the implications of statins in the induction of autophagy and, hence, the treatment of various disorders.Probiotics are widely used for protection against stress-induced intestinal dysfunction. Oxidative stress plays a critical role in gastrointestinal disorders. It is established that probiotics alleviate oxidative stress; however, the mechanism of action has not been elucidated. We developed an in vitro intestinal porcine epithelial cells (IPEC-J2) model of oxidative stress to explore the antioxidant effect and potential mode of action of Lactobacillus plantarum ZLP001. The IPEC-J2 cells were preincubated with and without L. plantarum ZLP001 for 3 h and then exposed to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for 4 h. Pretreatment with L. plantarum ZLP001 protected IPEC-J2 cells against H2O2-induced oxidative damage as indicated by cell viability assays and significantly alleviated apoptosis elicited by H2O2. L. selleck plantarum ZLP001 pretreatment decreased reactive oxygen species production and the cellular malondialdehyde concentration and increased the mitochondrial membrane potential compared with H2O2 treatment alone, suggesting that L. plantarum ZLP001 promotes the maintenance of redox homeostasis in the cells. Furthermore, L. plantarum ZLP001 regulated the expression and generation of some antioxidant enzymes, thereby activating the antioxidant defense system. Treatment with L. plantarum ZLP001 led to nuclear erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) enrichment in the nucleus compared with H2O2 treatment alone. Knockdown of Nrf2 significantly weakened the alleviating effect of L. plantarum ZLP001 on antioxidant stress in IPEC-J2 cells, suggesting that Nrf2 is involved in the antioxidative effect of L. plantarum ZLP001. Collectively, these results indicate that L. plantarum ZLP001 is a promising probiotic bacterium that can potentially alleviate oxidative stress.Delayed ischemic neurological deficit (DIND) is a severe complication after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Previous studies have suggested that bilirubin oxidation end products (BOXes) are probably associated with the DIND after SAH, but there is a lack of direct evidence yet even on cellular levels. In the present study, we aim to explore the potential role of BOXes and the involved mechanisms in neuronal function. We synthesized high-purity (>97%) BOX A and BOX B isomers. The pharmacokinetics showed they are permeable to the blood-brain barrier. Exposure of a moderate concentration (10 or 30 μM) of BOX A or BOX B to isolated primary cortical neurons increased the production of reactive oxygen species. In the human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells, BOX A and BOX B decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential and enhanced nuclear accumulation of the protein Nrf2 implicated in oxidative injury repair. In addition, both chemicals increased the mRNA and protein expression levels of multiple antioxidant response genes including Hmox1, Gsta3, Blvrb, Gclm, and Srxn1, indicating that the antioxidant response element (ARE) transcriptional cascade driven by Nrf2 is activated. In conclusion, we demonstrated that primary cortical neurons and neuroblastoma cells undergo an adaptive response against BOX A- and BOX B-mediated oxidative stress by activation of multiple antioxidant responses, in part through the Nrf2 pathway, which provides in-depth insights into the pathophysiological mechanism of DIND after SAH or other neurological dysfunctions related to cerebral hemorrhage.
We aimed to observe the protective effect of
opioid receptor (
-OR) agonist on myocardial injury in heart failure (HF) rats and its effect on Ca
-SERCA2a and to explore the regulatory mechanism with the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway.

50 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the following groups the sham operation group (sham group), HF model group (HF group), HF+
-OR agonist U50488 group (HU group), HF+U50488H+novel calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) agonist (oleic acid) (HUO group), and HF+U50488H+Nrf2 inhibitor (HUM group). The HF rat's model was established through surgical ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery and the exhausting swimming exercise. After that, rat's cardiac function was monitored by echocardiography. HE and MASSON staining was used to detect the myocardial injury, and TUNEL staining was used to detect the myocardial apoptosis. ELISA was performed to detect the biomarkers of oxidative stress. Moreover, the distribution of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and Nrf2 was detected under immunofluorescence.
