"Yes, I considered York St John University and London Metropolitan University. York St John offers a strong program in Computer Science, but it doesn't have a dedicated Cybersecurity course. London Metropolitan University does offer a Cybersecurity program, but it focuses on computer networking, which didn’t align as closely with my interests in areas like ethical hacking and cryptography.

The University of West London stood out for several compelling reasons. Its Cybersecurity program is comprehensive, covering the specific areas I’m passionate about and offering practical, hands-on experience crucial for my career goals. Moreover, the university has an excellent reputation. It was named the University of the Year for Social Inclusion in the Daily Mail University Guide 2024, and it is recognized as the best modern London university in the Complete University Guide 2025.

The university is also ranked in the top 30% of universities nationwide in The Guardian University Guide 2024 and is the number 1 London university for overall student satisfaction according to the National Student Survey 2024. Additionally, it was awarded the best university for Student Experience and Teaching Quality in the UK in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024. With 80% of its research rated as world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest Government Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment, it’s clear that the University of West London is committed to excellence in both education and research.

These factors, along with competitive fees and its prime location in London, made the University of West London the ideal choice for my studies."
