lncRNA SNHG14 promotes the particular growth, migration, and intrusion associated with thyroid tumour tissue by regulating miR-93-5p.
The development of nonlinear optical (NLO) materials has been hindered by competing microstructure requirements the need to simultaneously engineer a large hyperpolarizability (a large second-harmonic generation (SHG)) and a wide HOMO-LUMO gap (a wide band gap). Herein, a non-centrosymmetric transition-metal (TM) oxyfluoride K5 (NbOF4 )(NbF7 )2 (KNOF) with an extremely high F/O ratio is constructed in high yield. KNOF exhibits an extremely wide band gap (5.88 eV) and a strong powder SHG response (4.0×KH2 PO4 )-both being the largest values for TM-centered oxyfluorides-as well as a birefringence sufficient for applications. The dominant roles of the partially fluorinated [NbO2 F4 ] and totally fluorinated [NbF7 ] groups in achieving the enlarged band gap in KNOF have been clarified by first-principles calculations. Our results suggest that maximizing the fluorine content of oxyfluorides may unlock the promise of short-wavelength-transparent materials with exceptional NLO performance.During the surgical resection and reconstruction of a pathological femoral fracture, the removal of the femoral tumor leaves a large bone defect. Thus, it is necessary to reconstruct the defect and perform internal fixation. Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) has been widely used in spinal fusion and cranioplasty given its excellent biomechanical properties, biocompatibility, and stability. The typical design method of femoral prosthesis is based on the contralateral mirror image model (M-model), and we propose a novel method for designing femoral prosthesis, which is based on the cross section and centerline of the mirrored femur (C-model). In this study, the femoral shaft prostheses based on two models were manufactured using fused deposition modeling technology, and we use mechanical test and finite element analysis (FEA) to reveal the differences in mechanical properties of the two models. The mechanical results showed that the maximum loading force and yield strength were increased by 3% and 6% in the C-model prosthesis compared with the M-model prosthesis, respectively. In FEA, the results indicate that the C-model prosthesis could reduce the stress concentration by 5.4%-10.9% compared to the M-model prosthesis. Finally, the 3D-printed PEEK femoral shaft prosthesis based on C-model was implanted, no early complications occurred. Postoperative radiological examination indicated that the prosthesis and the femoral osteotomy end were closely matched and fixed well.
The study aimed to compare the color of monolithic and layered zirconia crowns fabricated using different brands in the cervical, middle, and incisal areas.

A total of 45 crowns were fabricated from three brands (Katana, Nacera, Cercon) using three methods (monolithic=ML (n=5), cut-back + enamel=BL (n=5), cut-back + dentin + enamel=TL (n=5)). CIE L*, a* b*, C*, h° color coordinates were recorded with a dental spectrophotometer in cervical, middle, and incisal areas. Color differences between manufacturing techniques, tooth areas, and brands were calculated using the CIEDE2000(111) formula, and the values were compared to the perceptibility (PT
) and acceptability thresholds (AT
). Comparisons between color coordinates were analyzed statistically (Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests, p < 0.001).

Significant differences were found between CIE L*, a*, b*, C*, h° coordinates of the zirconia crowns (p <0.001), generally. The lowest color differences were obtained between BL and TL crowns in cerr when interacting with light. When deciding whether to fabricate a monolithic crown in translucent zirconia or improve its appearance by layering with more translucent glass-ceramic, the clinicians and dental technicians must be aware of these procedures' effect on the final color of the restorations.E-health technology has been widely implemented in healthcare systems and has many benefits. However, available studies that focus on the acceptance and adoption of e-health technology, particularly among older people in primary care centers, are still limited. A qualitative approach was adopted in this study to explore the acceptability and adoption of health technology among older people who use primary health care. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 11 older people to gain in-depth insight into their perspectives on health technology. An inductive thematic analysis was conducted to gain insight from older people. Three main themes emerged (1) "demand of care" refers a situation where participants realized that they had a health problem, sought ways to solve the health problem, and expected to be cared and monitored; (2) "resistance and openness" represent technology acceptance by older people; and (3) "preference for home health monitoring" We found older people preferred home health monitoring in terms of comfort and ease of use. The study has provided important new knowledge in relation to acceptance and preference for health technology that currently exists, particularly among older people in Indonesia. The electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NITRR) provides a promising solution for restoring the imbalance in the global nitrogen cycle while enabling a sustainable and decentralized route to source ammonia. Here, we demonstrate a novel electrocatalyst for NITRR consisting of Rh clusters and single-atoms dispersed onto Cu nanowires (NWs), which delivers a partial current density of 162 mA cm-2 for NH3 production and a Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 93 % at -0.2 V vs. RHE. The highest ammonia yield rate reached a record value of 1.27 mmol h-1  cm-2 . Detailed investigations by electron paramagnetic resonance, in situ infrared spectroscopy, differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and density functional theory modeling suggest that the high activity originates from the synergistic catalytic cooperation between Rh and Cu sites, whereby adsorbed hydrogen on Rh site transfers to vicinal *NO intermediate species adsorbed on Cu promoting the hydrogenation and ammonia formation.A crucial challenge is to develop an in situ passivation treatment strategy for CsPbX3 (CPX, X=Cl, Br, and I) quantum dots (QDs) and simultaneously retain their luminous efficiency and wavelength. Here, a facile method to significantly improve the stability of the CPX QDs via in situ crystallization with the synergistic effect of 4-bromo-butyric acid (BBA) and oleylamine (OLA) in polar solvents including aqueous solution and a possible fundamental mechanism are proposed. Monodispersed CsPbBr3 (CPB) QDs obtained in water show high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of 86.4 % and their PL features of CPB QDs have no significant change after being dispersed in aqueous solution for 96 h, which implies the structure of CPB QDs is unchanged. The results provide a viable design strategy to synthesize all-inorganic perovskite CPX QDs with strong stability against the attack of polar solvents and shed more light on their surface chemistry.Chinese traditional bioethics is based on the life origin theory of "Qi (vital force) permeates everything under heaven", the attitude towards life theory of "loving people" and "loving things", and the life transcendence theory of "eternity" and "immortality". read more The life origin theory answers the question of how life comes into being, which is the basis for exploring the mystery of life. The attitude towards life theory gives answers to the question of how to treat life properly and establishes the basic requirements and criteria for treating life. The life transcendence theory responds to the question of how to make life more meaningful. Those three thoughts support each other and explain each other with the inner logical band between these three basic thoughts, and tentatively offers a reasonable way for the reconstruction of traditional Chinese bioethics, which can be a special theoretical resource for today's bioethical research.Mitochondrial dysfunction can either extend or decrease Caenorhabditis elegans lifespan, depending on whether transcriptionally regulated responses can elicit durable stress adaptation to otherwise detrimental lesions. Here, we test the hypothesis that enhanced metabolic flexibility is sufficient to circumvent bioenergetic abnormalities associated with the phenotypic threshold effect, thereby transforming short-lived mitochondrial mutants into long-lived ones. We find that CEST-2.2, a carboxylesterase mainly localizes in the intestine, may stimulate the survival of mitochondrial deficient animals. We report that genetic manipulation of cest-2.2 expression has a minor lifespan impact on wild-type nematodes, whereas its overexpression markedly extends the lifespan of complex I-deficient gas-1(fc21) mutants. We profile the transcriptome and lipidome of cest-2.2 overexpressing animals and show that CEST-2.2 stimulates lipid metabolism and fatty acid beta-oxidation, thereby enhancing mitochondrial respiratory capacity through complex II and LET-721/ETFDH, despite the inherited genetic lesion of complex I. Together, our findings unveil a metabolic pathway that, through the tissue-specific mobilization of lipid deposits, may influence the longevity of mitochondrial mutant C. elegans.To evaluate whether admission systolic blood pressure (SBP) is associated with the choice of initial antiplatelet therapy for minor stroke. Eligible patients retrospectively gathered from 2010 to 2018. Finally, 1312 of 1494 patients were divided into three groups aspirin monotherapy (AM, n = 538, 41.0%), dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and load-clopidogrel (clopidogrel loading dose of 300 mg on the first day, DAPT-ALC, n = 474, 35.6%), and dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and unload-clopidogrel (clopidogrel 75 mg daily with no loading dose, DAPT-AUC, n = 300, 22.9%). The mean ± SD age of final patients was 62.0 ± 12.7 years old; 903 (70.9%) participants were male. Patients in the DAPT-ALC group were more likely to be younger, to arrive earlier, and to have a lower proportion of intracerebral hemorrhage than those in the AM group. DAPT-AUC group patients were more like to have a history of acute myocardial infarction and less likely to have a history of ICH than the AM group (4.7% vs. 1.7% and .3% vs. 2.6%, p less then .05). Overall, there was a likely "S-shaped" association between the selection of the DAPT-ALC or DAPT-AUC scheme and admission systolic blood pressure (P for nonlinearity = .012). Compared with the SBP less then 140 mmHg group, the SBP ≥ 180 mmHg group was more likely to be given DAPT-AUC (OR = 2.92 [1.62-5.26], p less then .001) than DAPT-ALC. Our findings support that admission SBP is associated with the choice of initial antiplatelet, especially when the SBP was greater than or equal to 180 mmHg.
This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate the effect of preoperative stoma site marking on stoma-related complications in patients with intestinal ostomy.

MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, CINHAL, and Google Scholar were searched up to August 2021 for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and nonrandomised studies of interventions (NRSI) that involved patients with intestinal ostomies comparing preoperative stoma site marking to no marking and which reported at least one patient-relevant outcome. Outcomes were prioritised by stakeholder involvement. Random-effects meta-analyses produced odds ratios (ORs) or standardised mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). The ROBINS-I tool and the GRADE approach were used to assess the risk of bias and certainty of evidence, respectively.

This review included two RCTs and 25 NRSI. The risk of bias was high in RCTs and serious to critical in NRSI. Although preoperative site marking reduced stoma-related complications (OR 0.45, 95% CI [0.31-0.
