For more than 60 years, glucocorticoid therapy has been practically the only method for treating patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy - non-specific autoimmune inflammation of the soft tissues of the orbit. Steroid-resistant forms of this disease are known to exist. The reasons for the formation of glucocorticoid resistance are not fully understood yet.
To study the possibilities of pharmacogenetic testing for the polymorphism of the glucocorticoid receptor gene NR3C1 and cytochrome P450 in predicting the effectiveness of glucocorticoid therapy in patients with edematous exophthalmos - one of the clinical forms of endocrine ophthalmopathy.

The results of glucocorticoid therapy were analyzed in 75 patients with different clinical forms of endocrine ophthalmopathy aged 27 to 84 years. All patients underwent standard ophthalmological examination, external examination of the eye with assessment of the state of periorbital tissues, determination of the shape and size of the palpebral fissure (vertical size), e studied genes on the effectiveness of glucocorticoid therapy in patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy. Objective To analyze the characteristics and citations of articles in National Medical Journal of China (NMJC) during 2016, and to discuss the academic level and quality of the journal. Methods Nutrients, nutrition, food, diet, dietary structure, dietary patterns, protein, fat, vitamin, dietary fiber, inflammatory, inflammation, oxidative stress, immunity were used as search terms, and systematic retrieval of the literature in Wanfang Database, National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), PubMed, Web of Science was carried out from the establishment of the database to January 10, 2020, and a systematic review of the literature meeting the requirements was conducted. Results A total of 3 Chinese and 46 English articles were included. Literature showed that β-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin D, polyunsaturated fatty acids, some amino acids, dietary fiber, isoflavones, choline, betaine and resveratrol and other nutrients can reduce plasma inflammatory factors or oxidative stress marker levels, and nutrients such as cholesterol and trans fatty acids can increase their levels. Foods such as fish, lean meat, fruits, soybeans, cruciferous vegetables and nuts can reduce plasma inflammatory factors or oxidative stress marker levels, while foods such as milk and sugary beverages can increase plasma inflammatory factors or oxidative stress markers. Mediterranean dietary patterns and other healthy dietary patterns can reduce plasma levels of inflammatory factors or oxidative stress markers, while Western dietary patterns can increase their levels. Conclusion Nutrients, food and dietary patterns can influence levels of plasma inflammatory factors or oxidative stress markers. Objective To systematically review the relationship between dietary patterns and human immunity and health. Methods Chinese and English search terms, including "dietary pattern", "dietary structure", "nutrients", "food", "protein", "fat", "vitamins", "dietary fiber", "immunity", "inflammatory", "inflammation", "oxidative stress", were searched for relevant articles in PubMed, Web of Science, Wanfang and National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database from the collection start date to January 10, 2020. Results A total of 1 Chinese article and 22 English articles were included, including 9 cross-sectional studies, 7 intervention studies, 6 cohort studies and 1 nested case-control study. Common evaluation methods for dietary patterns included dietary inflammatory index (DII), inflammatory score of the diet (ISD), empirical dietary inflammatory pattern (EDIP), dietary compliance score, and healthy eating index. There were 13 studies on Mediterranean dietary patterns and healthy dietary patterns with higher intaifferent inflammatory potentials according to the characteristics of food intake, which can directly or indirectly affect immune function. Objective To systematically compare the effect of Roux-en-Y with Billroth Ⅰ or Billroth Ⅱ in gastric cancer patients after distal gastrectomy by meta-analysis. Methods Systematic search was conducted on the relevant electronic databases of Pubmed, Embase, Wanfang Database, CNKI and VIP from the established time to August 18, 2019. The randomized controlled trials about comparison of Roux-en-Y with Billroth Ⅰ or Billroth Ⅱ were strictly screened and analyzed by the software of Revman 5.3. Procedure and postoperative outcomes were analyzed, respectively. Results A total of 783 relevant literatures were systematically retrieved, and 6 randomized controlled trials, including 954 patients, finally met the inclusion criteria after strict screening. The results of meta-analysis showed that operative time of Billroth Ⅰ was significantly shorter than that of Roux-en-Y (MD=-37.60, 95%CI-50.79--24.40, P less then 0.001), intraoperative bleeding (MD=-21.64, 95%CI-32.20--11.07, P less then 0.001) and the number of delayedof life seems better. Objective To investigate the effects of down-regulation of expression of neuropilin-2 (NRP-2) by RNA interference (RNAi) technique on proliferation and apoptosis of HCT-8 colon cancer cells. Methods NRP2-siRNA and negative control (NControl)-siRNA were transferred into HCT-8 colon cancer cells by liposomes (lip2000) as transfection group and negative control group, and phosphate buffered solution (PBS) was added as blank control group. Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) and Western blot were used to detect the transfection effect. The proliferation of cells in the three groups was examined by cell counting kit (CCK) assay, colony-forming unit assay and Ki-67 protein staining assay, respectively. Moreover, the apoptosis of cells in the three groups was determined by acridine orange/propranidine iodide (AO/PI) staining method. Results The results of RT-qPCR and Western blot showed that the relative expression of NRP-2 mRNA and the content of NRP-2 protein in the transfer group decreased (0.46±0.05totic cells to living cells in the transfer group was significantly higher than that in the other two groups (0.43±0.07 vs 0.14±0.04 and 0.11±0.04, P less then 0.05). Conclusion The proliferation ability of HCT-8 colon cancer cells decreases, and the apoptosis ability increases by decreasing the expression of NRP-2.Objective To find the possible targets for the study and treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), and to analyze and predict the key genes affecting the prognosis of TNBC by bioinformatics. Methods Raw data on transcriptome sequencing of clinical specimens from patients with TNBC were searched by searching GEO Datasets in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database. The differential gene was then submitted to the Enrichr website for pathway enrichment. Survival analysis was used to finally identify the most significant differences in the prognosis of patients with TNBC. Results Only ADAM9 gene showed a significant correlation with the poor prognosis of patients with TNBC (P less then 0.05), and ADAM9 only showed specificity associated with prognosis in patients with TNBC, and was not with other breast cancer types. Conclusion ADAM9 gene has been proved to be related to the poor prognosis in patients with TNBC. 4-Methylumbelliferone Therefore, ADAM9 gene can be regarded as a possible key gene leading to lymph node metastasis and poor prognosis in patients with TNBC.Objective To apply artificial intelligence technology in clinical real-world data of patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma, explore the precise treatment of disease and build up artificial intelligence-based clinical decision support system. Methods A total of 5 642 patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma admitted to West China Hospital from July 2004 to June 2016 with complete follow-up records were included in the study.
