The objective of this study is to address this issue. A factorial field experiment was carried out for two years in a completely randomized design with three replicates. Experimental plots were irrigated with three different irrigation methods (subsurface and surface drip, and furrow) applying three different levels (full irrigation and 33 and 67% deficit irrigations) of recycled wastewater and freshwater. The results showed that soil heavy metal contents, salinity, macro nutrients, organic matter, cation exchange capacity, porosity and wet aggregate stability were significantly higher in full irrigation with wastewater, while pH, carbonates, bulk and particle densities were significantly lower. Drip methods reduced salinity and heavy metal contents significantly. Heavy metal pollution indexes also indicated that drip methods are more effective in reducing metal pollution in soil. However, considerable accumulations of Cd and Ni were found with all methods while deficit irrigation decreased accumulations. The highest cation exchange capacity and K2O contents and the lowest exchangeable sodium percentage were determined with the subsurface drip method. The subsurface drip method saved 20.7 and 49% more irrigation water than the surface drip and furrow methods under fully irrigated conditions. Therefore, it can be concluded that using the subsurface drip method with recycled wastewater can be used in silage maize cultivation because soil productivity and water savings increased while metal pollution and salinity in soil decreased. Moreover, using 33% less wastewater can be a useful practice to decrease Cd and Ni accumulation.The project of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was initiated by China to enhance the level of economic cooperation among partner economies. The study empirically evaluates the link between renewable energy consumption, forest area and emissions of CO2 among 33 partner economies of BRI for the period of 1986-2018. Study utilizes cointegration and heterogeneous Granger causality framework to explore the long-run and causal linkage among variables. Empirical evidence suggests that expansion in renewable energy consumption and increase in forestation will help to reduce the emissions of CO2 among the economies of BRI. However, the estimated findings of Granger causality reveal feedback causation between renewable energy consumption and forest area and unidirectional causation running from per capita income to environmental quality. The study signifies the importance of investment in renewable energy projects and forest management areas among the partner economies of BRI.In polycystic kidney disease (PKD) multiple bilateral renal cysts gradually enlarge causing a decline in renal function. Transepithelial chloride secretion through cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) and TMEM16A (anoctamin 1) drive cyst enlargement. We demonstrated recently that a loss of PKD1 increases expression and function of TMEM16A in murine kidneys and in mouse M1 collecting duct cells. The data demonstrated that TMEM16A contributes essentially to cyst growth by upregulating intracellular Ca2+ signaling. Enhanced expression of TMEM16A and Ca2+ signaling increased both cell proliferation and fluid secretion, which suggested inhibition of TMEM16A as a novel therapy in ADPKD. About 15 % of all ADPKD cases are caused by mutations in PKD2. To analyze the effects of loss of function of PKD2 on Ca2+ signaling, we knocked-down Pkd2 in mouse primary renal epithelial cells in the present study, using viral transfection of shRNA. Unlike in Pkd1-/- cells, knockdown of PKD2 lowered basal Ca2+ and augmented store-operated Ca2+ entry, which was both independent of TMEM16A. However, disease causing purinergic Ca2+ store release was enhanced, similar to that observed in Pkd1-/- renal epithelial cells. The present data suggest pharmacological inhibition of TMEM16A as a treatment in ADPKD caused by mutations in both PKD1 and PKD2.
Physiotherapists' biomedical orientation influences the implementation of evidenced-based care for low back pain (LBP) management. However, information on physiotherapists' own beliefs about their back and LBP and the influence of these on clinical decisions and advice is lacking.

To identify attitudes and beliefs about LBP among physiotherapists and to analyse the association of these beliefs with physiotherapists' individual characteristics and clinical decisions and advice.

Cross-sectional survey.

Attitudes and beliefs about LBP were measured with the Back-Pain Attitudes Questionnaire (Back-PAQ) among French-speaking Swiss physiotherapists. Physiotherapists' clinical decisions and advice were assessed with a clinical vignette to determine their association with the Back-PAQ score.

The study included 288 physiotherapists. The mean Back-PAQ score (82.7; SD 17.2) indicated the presence of helpful beliefs in general, but unhelpful beliefs in relation to back protection and the special nature of LBP (g physiotherapists. These unhelpful beliefs were associated with less optimal clinical decisions. Educational approaches should challenge unhelpful beliefs and empower physiotherapists to provide explanations and management that increases patients' confidence in the back. Future research should investigate the effect of educational strategies on implementation of best practice for LBP management.Emotionally arousing experiences are retained very well as seen in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Various lines of evidence indicate that reactivation of these memories renders them labile which offers a potential time-window for intervention. We tested in non-human primates whether ketamine, administered during fear memory reactivation, affected passive (inhibitory) avoidance learning. For the consolidation of contextual emotional memory, the unescapable foot-shock paradigm in a passive avoidance task with two compartments (dark vs illuminated) was used. After entering the dark compartment, marmoset monkeys received four random foot-shocks (1 mA, 4 s) within 15-min. This stressful exposure increased the saliva cortisol and heart rate and impaired REM-sleep (p less then 0.05). One week later the monkeys were re-exposed to the stressful situation for the reconsolidation of the fearful experience. During the re-exposure the monkeys were treated with ketamine (0.5 mg/kg) or saline. In week 3, the monkeys were placed in the experimental setting to test their memory for the fearful experience. In contrast to the vehicle-treated monkeys, who avoided the dark compartment, the ketamine-treated monkeys entered the dark compartment that was previously associated with the fearful experience (p less then 0.05). Post-mortem analysis of the hippocampus showed that ketamine-treated animals exhibited less doublecortin positive neurons and BrdU-labeled cells in the dentate gyrus. This study reveals that a single low dose of ketamine, administered upon fear retrieval in monkeys, reduce contextual fear memory and attenuate neurogenesis in the hippocampus. These are important findings for considering ketamine as a potential candidate to target traumatic memories in PTSD.
The purpose of early warning systems is to detect deterioration of the patient and to enable timely intervention to prevent possible severe illness. The most common causes of maternal morbidity and mortality after birth are worsening pre-eclampsia, postpartum haemorrhage and puerperal infection. Our aim was to validate the accuracy of the obstetric early warning system and different physiological triggers to predict morbidity on the postnatal ward in high-risk women.

High-risk women (n=828) (body mass index > 35 kg/m
, postpartum haemorrhage > 1,500 g, pre-eclampsia, chorioamnionitis during birth, type 1 diabetes or anxiety over the maternal condition based on clinical judgement) were studied on the postnatal ward in the first 24 hours after giving birth. In this study population the women without any morbidity served as a control group. The study was conducted between 1.11.2016 - 30.4. 2018 covering a period of 18 months.

The regulation of MMPs in the avian ovary, however, remains largely unknown. The present study aimed to examine the effect of recombinant chicken prolactin (chPRL) treatment on the expression of selected MMPs and their tissue inhibitors (TIMPs), as well as MMP-2 and MMP-9 activity in the hen ovary. Real-time polymerase chain reaction revealed changes in the mRNA expression of MMP-2, MMP-7, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, TIMP-2, and TIMP-3 in the following ovarian follicles white, yellowish, small yellow, and the largest yellow preovulatory (F3-F1). Western blot analysis showed alterations in the abundance of latent and active forms of the MMP-2 protein, as well as the abundance of the MMP-9 protein. Moreover, minor changes in MMP-2 and MMP-9 total activities were found in ovarian follicles of chPRL-treated hens.
