The association of the severity of clinical symptoms and level of functional performance with the degree of magnetic resonance imaging abnormalities in patients with lateral epicondylitis has not been fully elucidated. The proportion of lesion volume of common extensor tendon was adopted for three-dimensional model analysis. To determine the factors associated with clinical parameters, univariate, and multivariate linear regression analyses were performed.

The proportion of lesion volume of common extensor tendon was not associated with clinical parameters. Gender and muscle edema were independently associated with pain visual analog scale scores. However, demographic factors and magnetic resonance imaging abnormalities were not associated with the Quick Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder, and Hand questionnaire score or elbow range of motion.

Curculigoside is a natural phenolic glycoside compound produced by Curculigo orchioides Gaertn. This study aimed to explore the effects of curculigoside in promoting the osteogenic differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) as well as the underlying mechanism.

ADSCs were treated with curculigoside at different concentrations (0 μmol/L, 1 μmol/L, 2.5 μmol/L, 5 μmol/L, 10 μmol/L, and 20 μmol/L), and cell viability was assessed by CCK-8 assay. Then, the alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity was determined, and alizarin red S (ARS) staining was performed to measure the extracellular mineralization of curculigoside. Information about protein-chemical interactions is provided by the search tool for interactions of chemicals (STITCH) database. Then, LY294002 was administered to explore the mechanism by which curculigoside promotes the osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs. Western blot assays were performed to assess changes in the expression of osteogenic-related markers and the phosphorylation of PI3K ar, the curculigoside-treated group exhibited significantly increased phosphorylation of AKT to P-AKT compared with the osteogenic induction group. After treatment with curculigoside, the mice had a higher bone volume than the OVX mice, suggesting partial protection from cancellous bone loss. In addition, when LY294002 was added, the protective effects of curculigoside could be neutralized.

To explore the clinical efficacy of posterior LFF for cervical OPLL with radicular pain of upper limbs METHODS Between January 2014 and January 2018, 48 OPLL patients with radicular pain symptoms of upper limbs who underwent a one-stage posterior laminectomy and instrumented fusion with/without foraminotomy were reviewed retrospectively and divided into two groups LF group (laminectomy with instrumented fusion without foraminotomy) and LFF group (laminectomy with instrumented fusion and foraminotomy). Stunting is a critical public health problem of developing countries like Ethiopia. Different interventions like irrigation activity have been carried out by the government of Ethiopia to improve the nutritional status of the community. However, there is scanty of data on childhood stunting and its associated factors between irrigation user and non-irrigation user.

To assess the magnitude of childhood stunting and its associated factors between irrigation and non-irrigation user in North Mecha District, Northwest Ethiopia.

A community-based comparative cross-sectional study design was employed from October to November 2019. A systematic sampling was used to draw mothers with children age 6-59 months (582 irrigated and 582 non- irrigated household users). Data were collected using questionnaire and anthropometric measurement tools. Multivariable logistic regression was used to identify the predictors of stunting. Adjusted odds ratios with 95% CI were used to determine the degree of association between inrs should be strengthened to reduce stunting.

Studies have confirmed that overexpression of MAD2 and BUBR1 can facilitate correct chromosome segregation and embryo stability. Research also proves that miR-125b negatively regulates MAD1 expression by binding to its 3'UTR. However, miR-125b, Mad1 and Bub3 gene expression in aneuploid embryos of spontaneous abortion has not been reported to date.

Retinoids are promising agents in the treatment of different types of neoplasia including estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers, whereas refractoriness/low sensitivity is observed in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) subtype. However, the reason for these diverse retinoid-sensitivity remains elusive.

Determinants of retinoid sensitivity were investigated using immunohistochemistry of primary patient samples, and identified retinoic acid receptor α (RARα) as a putative factor. The anti-tumor activity of hypo-phosphorylated RARα was investigated in TNBC cell models and a xenograft mouse model. Next, miRNA sequencing analysis was performed to identify the target miRNA of RARα, and luciferase reporter was used to confirm the direct target gene of miR-3074-5p.

We discovered that serine-77 residue of RARα was constantly phosphorylated, which correlated with TNBC's resistance to retinoids. Overexpression of a phosphorylation-defective mutant RARαS77A mimicked activated RARα and repressed TNBC cell progression both in vitro and in vivo, via activating cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and cytotoxic autophagy, independent of RARα agonists. We further revealed that the anti-tumor action of RARαS77A was, at least in part, mediated by the up-regulation of miR-3074-5p, which directly targeted DHRS3, a reductase negatively associated with TNBC patient survival. Our results suggest that the inhibition of RARαS77 phosphorylation by either expressing RARαS77A or inhibiting RARα's phosphokinase CDK7, can bypass RA stimuli to transactivate tumor-suppressive miR-3074-5p and reduce oncogenic DHRS3, thus overcoming the RA-resistance of TNBC.

Moving evidence-based practices into the hands of practitioners requires the synthesis and translation of research literature. However, the growing pace of scientific publications across disciplines makes it increasingly difficult to stay abreast of research literature. Natural language processing (NLP) methods are emerging as a valuable strategy for conducting content analyses of academic literature. We sought to apply NLP to identify publication trends in the journal Implementation Science, including key topic clusters and the distribution of topics over time. A parallel study objective was to demonstrate how NLP can be used in research synthesis.

We examined 1711 Implementation Science abstracts published from February 22, 2006, to October 1, 2020. We retrieved the study data using PubMed's Application Programming Interface (API) to assemble a database. Following standard preprocessing steps, we use topic modeling with Latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) to cluster the abstracts following a minimization algorithm.
