西班牙国家情报中心下属的国家破译密码中心记录到黑客组织"匿名者"（Anonymous）对国家级网站进行了70次攻击。
情报中心强调："这些行为与国家授意的网络攻击毫无关系。"
中心解释称："攻击由个别人士和团体发起，他们使用的IP地址指向一定国家，但与政府无关。"
国家破译情报中心副主任路易斯·希门尼斯和国家情报中心网络安全司司长哈维尔·坎多周二提交报告称，国家网络资源近期遭到的70次网络攻击中只有两次构成了一定威胁，其目的是窃取信息，但也以失败告终。其中一个目标是宪法法院网站，但攻击只持续了半个小时。

2017年全年，西班牙国家机构和战略企业遭到近2.7万次网络攻击，平均每天受到3.7次黑客攻击，其中5%构成严重威胁。
最近几周，多家西班牙媒体称某些"俄罗斯黑客"支持加泰罗尼亚独立。
情报中心对此未向卫星通讯社发表评论，称不了解情况。
此前致力于恢复被封公投网站的加泰罗尼亚海盗党（Partit Pirata de Catalunya）"黑客"在接受卫星通讯社采访时否认与"俄罗斯黑客"有接触，但承认受到德国海盗党（Piratenpartei）和瑞典海盗党（Piratenpartei）等欧洲多个海盗党的支持。
