In this study, two kinds of form-stable multifunctional materials with thermal and electrical response (FPCMs DP-E7U3-CNT, DP-E7T3-CNT) are composed of wood-based honeycomb-like celluloses micro-framework (DP), carbon nanotubes (CNT), erythritol-urea (E7U3) or erythritol-thiourea (E7T3). In FPCMs, DP acts as a skeleton structure to seal E7U3 and E7T3 and provide more pathways for heat conduction. The CNT acts as an extended surface to further improve thermal conductivity. FE-SEM showed that the honeycomb-like pore structure of DP was completely filled with E7U3, E7T3 and CNT. FTIR and XRD analysis show that there is only a combination of physical interactions between the components of FPCMs. DSC curves and thermal conductivity analysis results show that DP-E7U3-1.5CNT and DP-E7T3-1.5CNT with the mass fraction of carbon nanotubes (1.5 wt%) have the highest latent heat values (230.3 J/g, 272.2 J/g) and thermal conductivity (0.9832 W/(m·K), 0.9363 W/(m·K)). Both DP-E7U3-1.5CNT and DP-E7T3-1.5CNT exhibit high latent heat retention and thermal stability after 100 heating-cooling cycles. In addition, DP-E7U3-1.5CNT and DP-E7T3-1.5CNT show excellent performance in light-heat energy conversion-storage, actual latent heat storage and release, thermal and electrical response performance, which make it has great potential to be multifunctional materials with thermal storage sand electrical response.The mouse 3110001I22Rik gene located in the first intron of Bfar is considered as a Bfar variant coding for the BFARv3 protein. However, it differs from other BFAR isoforms and resembles periphilin 1 (PPHLN1) due to its two (Lge1 and serine-rich) conserved domains. We identified the BFARv3/EGFP-interacting proteins by co-immunoprecipitation coupled to mass spectrometry, which revealed 40S ribosomal proteins (RPS3, RPS14, RPS19, RPS25, RPS27), histones (H1.2, H1.4, H3.3C), proteins involved in RNA processing and splicing (SFPQ, SNRPA1, HNRNPA3, NONO, KHDRBS3), calcium signaling (HPCAL1, PTK2B), as well as HSD17B4, GRB14, POSTN, and MYO10. Co-immunoprecipitation revealed that both Lge1 and Ser-rich domains of BFARv3 were necessary for binding to RNA-interacting factors NONO and SFPQ, known to be components of paraspeckles. Reciprocal co-immunoprecipitation and the proximity ligation assay confirmed that both BFARv3 and PPHLN1 could interact with NONO and SFPQ, suggesting a new function for PPHLN1 as well. BFARv3 and its Lge1 or Ser-rich-deficient mutants preferentially localize in the nucleus. We found an accumulation of BFARv3/EGFP (but not its mutated forms) in the nuclear granules, which was enhanced in response to arsenite treatment and ionizing radiation. Although Bfar v3 is expressed ubiquitously in mouse tissues, its expression is the highest in metaphase II oocytes. The BFARv3 interactome suggests its role in RNA metabolism, which is critical for the transcriptionally silent MII oocyte. Mouse BFARv3 has no ortholog in the human genome, thus it may contribute to the differences between these two species observed in oocyte maturation and early embryonic development.
To address healthcare inequities, diversifying the physician workforce is an important step and improved efforts to recruit Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) students is vital. We aim to examine the current state of minority recruitment and provide solutions to increase diversity in urology residency training.

We conducted a retrospective analysis of self-reported race and ethnicity data for active urology trainees using the Data Resource Book by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education from 2011-2020. We also performed a longitudinal analysis comparing the number of urology applicants to urology trainees from 2016 to 2020 using the Electronic Residency Application Service statistics database. URiMs were designated in alignment with ACGME definitions. Categorical variables were summarized as frequencies and percentages and compared using chi-squared test between race and ethnicity.

We identified 11,458 active urology trainees for analysis. Of these, 6638 (57.9%) identified as White, 169critical transformation.Gut-associated microbiota in crustaceans are recognized as a key element for maintaining homeostasis and health in the animal. Since the richness of these microbial communities is strongly influenced by the local environment, especially in aquatic organisms, it is important to address to what extent environmental variations can affect these communities. In the present study, we used high-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing technology to study the composition of gut-associated microbiota of the crayfish Pacifastacus leniusculus after exposure to environmentally-relevant concentrations of an antibiotic, namely sulfamethoxazole. Also, we examined if alterations of microbiota caused by environmentally-relevant concentrations of this antibiotic affected the host susceptibility to bacterial diseases, including Vibrio species. As a result, we found high individual variability of bacterial abundance and composition in the intestinal microbiome of crayfish, in both antibiotic-exposed and antibiotic-free crayfish. However, an increase of chitinolytic bacteria including Vibrio spp. was detected in some animals exposed to the antibiotic. Moreover, when crayfish susceptibility to bacterial infections was tested, the antibiotic-exposed crayfish survived longer than the control crayfish group. This study represents the first approach for investigating the interplay between crayfish and intestinal bacteria during antibiotic-pollution scenarios. Results herein should be considered by scientists before planning experiments under laboratory conditions, especially to study environmental effects on aquatic animals' intestinal health and immune status.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 8weeks of aerobic exercise on the expression of mir-126 and some angiogenesis factors in the endothelial tissue of the cardiac muscle of type 2 diabetic rats.

Sixteen male Wistar rats were divided into two groups diabetic control and diabetic training. Nicotinamide and streptozotocin injections were used to induce type 2 diabetes. After familiarization, the training group participated in an 8-week exercise protocol on a treadmill with an intensity of 25m per minute, a slope of 5% and 30min per session. RT-PCR was used to evaluate the expression of mir-126 and PI3K genes. Expression of raf1, VEGF, blood glucose and insulin was determined by ELISA and insulin resistance was assessed by HOMA-IR homeostasis model. Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the capillary density of the cardiac muscle. Data were analyzed by t-test for independent groups with a significance level of p<0.05.

While both drugs have relatively well defined effects in tests designed to investigate impulsive action (e.g. 5-choice task; 5-CSRTT), the effects of both drugs in tests of impulsive choice (e.g. delay discounting) are less consistent. In the present study both AMP and ATX were tested in a rodent gambling task (rGT) and delay discounting in rats separately trained to either an ascending or descending delay schedule. Effects of both drugs were compared to measures of impulsive action (premature (PREM) responses) and perseverative (PSV) responses measured in the 5-choice and rGT tasks. Consistent with previous studies, AMP (0.1-1 mg/kg) increased both PREM and PSV responses, and ATX (0.5-2 mg/kg) reduced both measures in the 5-choice and rGT tasks. Interestingly, mGlu2/3 receptor antagonists show fast and sustained antidepressant-like effects similar to that of ketamine in rodents. Excitingly, they can also induce antidepressant effects in the animal models of treatment-resistant depression and are devoid of the side-effects associated with ketamine.
