There has been a continuing interest in the industry to have robust condition monitoring, prognostics and health management tools to support the condition based maintenance and predictive maintenance program for such valves. For critical assets like SOVs, it is of paramount interest to understand why a component might be declared as defective. In such a situation, a first principle-model based approach will always be preferred to a purely data-driven approach, because of its inherent interpretability. Furthermore, first principle-models typically have less free parameters than their data driven counterparts and will require less data to identify their parameters. In this paper, we present the improvement of a first-principle model of alternating current (AC) powered SOVs taking into account two important degradation effects. Using this model, we show that the state of degradation can be estimated from current and input voltage measurement signals on the solenoids. Our method is validated using data from an accelerated life test campaign on 48 identical AC-powered SOVs.In this article, the line-of-sight (LOS)-based on the control principle of path following is presented to apply to a marine surface vessel (MSV) with an unknown time-varying sideslip angle. The input saturation and the uncertain model are taken into account. The presented finite-time predictor-based adaptive integral line-of-sight (FPAILOS) guidance principle can estimate the unknown time-varying sideslip angle while compensating for the drift force. The FPAILOS guidance law offers the desired yaw angle. The drift force can be caused by the ocean currents, which are taken into account in the kinematic model for the MSV. For the input saturation problem, we select the finite-time auxiliary system to limit inputs. Designing path following control signals adopts the finite-time dynamic surface control (FDSC) method. The finite-time low-frequency learning-based fuzzy system is designed to solve the uncertain model problem for the MSV. Finally, the stability of the system is demonstrated and numerical simulations are performed, where the objective is to evaluate the proposed theoretical results. With the presented control strategy, the track errors can converge into arbitrary small neighborhoods around zero in finite time.This paper mainly addresses the practical consensus problem of nonlinear multi-agent systems modeled by reaction-diffusion equations subject to the bounded external disturbances. Different from the existing consensus control methods associated with spatiotemporal dynamics, the proposed H∞ Neumann boundary controller based on distributed measurement data can guarantee the optimal disturbance attenuation performance under the actuator saturation. Initially, a consensus spatiotemporal error model is constructed by introducing the Kronecker product and equivalent directed graph. Subsequently, a linear matrix inequalities (LMIs)-based sufficient condition is derived by combining the improved Lyapunov-based approach and H∞ norm. Then, an optimization problem is proposed by applying invariant set, such that the consensus errors can converge to a minimized bounded region in the presence of actuator saturation. Finally, comparison simulations on the synchronization of FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) model are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed methodology.
The aim of this study was to provide a comprehensive overview of the prevalence, measurement scales, related factors and interventions for fear of falling (FOF) among older adults in Southeast Asia.
This was a systematic review.
Published research studies on FOF among older adults were searched using the following databases PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, ASEAN Citation Index, Thai Journal Citation Index, Malaysian Journal Citation Report and Google Scholar. All observational and experimental studies investigating FOF among community-dwelling older adults in Southeast Asia were eligible. A narrative synthesis was used to describe the findings. The Joanna Briggs Institute checklist was used to assess the quality and risk of bias of the included studies.
A total of 15 observational studies and three experimental studies were included after screening 2112 titles and abstracts. These studies, published between 2011 and 2021, were conducted in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The FOF prevalence on FOF issues is required to understand the multidimensional characteristics of FOF, specifically the environmental aspects of older adults in Southeast Asia.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance has emerged as a very helpful tool for the interventional cardiologists not only in the assessment and treatment of coronary artery disease, but also in the evaluation of various structural cardiac diseases. The main pulse sequences are standardised, acquired during short breath-holds, and include steady-state free precession cines, dynamic myocardial first-pass perfusion imaging during contrast injection, and late enhancement imaging for the identification of myocardial substrates. Less than 30-minute CMR studies are now available for the most common clinical indications. More recently, T1 and T2 parametric myocardial maps are promising for detailed myocardial tissue characterisation (edema, replacement fibrosis, diffuse interstitial fibrosis). Technical aspects will not be addressed with particular emphasis on clinical applications.
Little is known about fertility and pregnancy outcomes in patients with anorectal malformations (ARM), particularly those with long common channel cloaca and cloacal exstrophy who may have impaired fertility. The purpose of this study is to describe pregnancy and offspring data from a cohort of patients with ARM.
A retrospective review of female patients with ARM from our database, which includes patients operated on since 1980, was performed as well as a review of the literature. Demographic, operative, and self-reported fertility, obstetric, and offspring data were collected.
There were 37 females identified in our database who reported any pregnancy or having children. There were 59 pregnancies, 48 (81.3%) of which resulted in live birth. The most common mode of delivery was cesarean delivery. There were five patients with long channel cloaca (>3cm) and one with cloacal exstrophy that reported 11 total pregnancies, eight of which resulted in live birth. Four cloaca patients in which the native vagina was pulled through were able to conceive spontaneously. Three patients with cloacal anomalies required in vitro fertilization to conceive; one was unsuccessful. No patients who underwent bowel partial vaginal replacement became pregnant. Women with ARM face many unique challenges in assisted reproduction, pregnancy, and delivery owing to their anatomy and associated anomalies.
Women with recto-perineal, recto-vestibular, and cloacas in which the native vagina was pulled through are capable of spontaneous pregnancy. Assisted reproduction, however, may be needed those with more complex anomalies and surgical repairs.

There are disparate findings in the literature on the impact of race and insurance status on gonadal loss in testicular torsion. We sought to determine if race or levels of social vulnerability influence the rate of torsion or gonadal loss.
Retrospective cross-sectional review between December 2017 and September 2019. Social vulnerability index was dichotomized using the 75th percentile. Primary outcome was the diagnosis of testicular torsion.
515 patients were included. There was no difference in median age, torsion diagnosis, and orchiectomy rate between the two institutions. Black/African American patients were >3 times more likely than Caucasian patients to be diagnosed with TT when controlled for dichotomized SVI, insurance, and age (OR 3.39, 95% CI 1.74 - 6.61, p<0.01).

For the 1-[(2-hydroxyethoxy) methyl]-6-(phenylthio) thymine (HEPT) type of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), the H-bond between the N-3H of the inhibitor and the backbone carbonyl group of K101 represents the major hydrophilic interaction. This H-bond contributes to the NNRTI binding affinity. The descriptor analyses of different uracil derivatives proved their good cell internalization. The bioactivity score reflected higher drug likeness score and the ligands showed interesting docking results. All molecules were deeply buried and stabilized into the allosteric site of HIV-1 RT. Sarma.Sirt-1 is one of the most extensively studied mammalian Sirtuins that deacetylates histones and several non-histone proteins critical to cellular homeostasis. As a key sensor of cellular metabolism, it is regulated at multiple levels including transcriptional and post translational levels. As an allosteric enzyme, its activity is also modulated by ligands and certain endogenous proteins. The present study is an in silico approach to identify novel Sirt-1 binding proteins. Bioinformatic search for similarity in sequence, structure, and topology of binding region to Lamin-A, a known activator of Sirt-1, identified three proteins viz. Epididymis secretory sperm binding protein (ESSBP), xylosyltransferase 1 (XT-1), and Adenylyl cyclase 9 (ADCY-9). Molecular docking studies revealed binding of ESSBP and ADCY-9 to the N-terminal region of Sirt-1 while XT-1 docks at both N-terminal and C-terminal region of Sirt-1 with Z-Dock score better than Lamin-A; XT-1 and ADCY-9 showed better Z-Rank score as well. MD simulation studies for extended time followed by MM-PBSA analysis showed that the Sirt-1-protein complexes were stable with favourable binding energy and minimal change in RMSD relating to backbone structure and RMSF relating to residue fluctuations.
