Eczema is a common skin health issue in Singapore. A salient challenge eczema patients are facing is the stigma towards them, which has been relatively unacknowledged. It is critical to reducing stigma towards eczema patients, and an essential step is to identify factors influencing stigmatising behaviour.
With a general basis of the Integrative Model of Behavioral Prediction, we conducted a cross-sectional online survey (N=293) in the context of Singapore. The sample was recruited via the online panel of a survey company, Rakuten Insights. Our sample's age and education level generally fit with the population in Singapore.
Media exposure to eczema content did not influence stigmatising behaviour either directly or indirectly. However, personal connection with eczema patients reduced stigma indirectly, completely mediated by stigmatising attitude towards eczema patients and health literacy. That is, personal connection with eczema patients had a negative relationship with stigmatising attitude, which wak out against stigma towards eczema patients, and avoid using stigmatising language.
About 90% of women worldwide use nail care products, including manicure ones. A manicure procedure results in nail damage, therefore it is necessary to search for new, objective methods of assessing the impact of the procedures and products applied within the nail plate. In this study, an attempt was made to quantify the impact of manicure procedures on the nail plate condition.
Twenty thumb nail plates were examined. Before the manicure procedures, alginate casts were prepared for each of the subjects. The analysis of the three-dimensional (3D) nail surface structure included the assessment of the nail sections and the assessment of differences in the nail structure after superposition of 3D images of the nail plates before and after the manicure procedures.
The obtained results show that the nail plate structure changed to a similar extent in each measured section after the manicure procedure. A change in the height of the nails is not a desirable phenomenon as it suggests damage to the nail caused by the substances included in the preparations applied to the nails, acetone, or filing the nail plate. This proves the great influence of the technique of removing artificial nails on the structure of the natural plate.
The use of a 3D scanner allows for precise, biometric, quantitative, and repeatable measurements of changes in the nail structure after a manicure procedure. The use of the hybrid and gel manicure procedure causes significant damage to the nail plate, especially in its distal portion.

Research on the association between circumstances of death in advanced cancer patients and depression in their bereaved caregivers is limited.
A longitudinal study was performed on patients admitted to 21 inpatient hospices/palliative care units (PCUs) in Japan. Patient symptoms were assessed at admission and in the last 3days of life. Data on distressing events (unexpected death, bleeding) and received treatments (morphine prescriptions, continuous deep sedation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation) were also obtained. Bereaved caregiver depression was assessed 6months or more after patient death via mail survey using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). A multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to explore variables predicting bereaved caregiver depression.
Of 1324 deceased patient-bereaved caregiver dyads, data were finally analyzed for 711 dyads. XL092 The proportion of probable depression (PHQ-9 scores ≥10) in bereaved caregivers was 13.6% (91/671; 95% confidence interval 11.0-16.2). The multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that patient hyperactive delirium at PCU admission was significantly associated with the development of bereaved caregiver depression (odds ratio 2.2, 95% CI 1.2-3.8). Bereaved caregiver perceived low social support (OR 4.7, 95% CI 2.2-10.0) and low preparedness for death (OR 4.5, 95% CI 2.6-7.8) were also significantly associated with the development of depression. Other patient and bereaved caregiver variables had no association with depression.
Hyperactive delirium in terminally ill cancer patients was associated with bereaved caregiver depression. The development of effective strategies to reduce delirium-related agitation and to provide educational interventions for caregivers may be needed.

Using light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and microscopic quantitative analysis, the transverse sections, morphological, powder and quantitative microscopic features of glandular trichome density and area were observed for correct authentication. The results indicated that microscopic characteristics such as the distribution of fiber bundles in the vascular bundle of the main vein, the shape of xylem, the density and type of non-glandular trichomes, the morphology of T-shaped non-glandular trichomes, the type of calcium oxalate crystals, and the number and size of glandular trichomes can be used to authenticate the five Artemisia crude herbs. Differences in the morphology and density of glandular and non-glandular trichomes are key features for the identification of five Artemisia species. Therefore, our study provides a more comprehensive microscopic identification diagram and additional microscopic evidence for the five Artemisia species. HIGHLIGHTS This study provides a more comprehensive microscopic identification diagram and statistical information on the glandular trichome density and area for accurate authentication of five Artemisia herbs using light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and microscopic quantitative analysis. The present special issue of Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports focuses on performance, recovery, diet, and health in elite women's football. Beside this summary, an editorial, topic reviews, and original articles written by several of the most published authors in football research are presented. It is, for example, highlighted that there is a great gender inequality in football research in favor of men, especially within elite football populations. Therefore, the broad-spectrum content of the special issue with focus on several performance areas in women's football, recovery strategies, nutrition, and psychological factors is highly warranted. Several of the topics examined and data presented are examined for the first on elite women's football, and therefore, we hope that this special issue will contribute to gender balance the research and emphasis on football in both genders.Inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals are candidates for lighting and display materials due to their outstanding optoelectronic properties. However, the dissolution issue of perovskite nanocrystals in polar solvents remains a challenge for practical applications. Herein, we present a newly designed one-step spin-coating strategy to prepare a novel multicolor-tunable CsPbX3 (X=Cl, Br, I) nanocrystal film, where the CsPbX3 precursor solution was formed by dissolving PbO, Cs2 CO3 , and CH3 NH3 X into the ionic liquid n-butylammonium butyrate. The as-designed CsPbX3 nanocrystal films show high color purity with a narrow emission width. Also, the blue CsPb(Cl/Br)3 film demonstrates an absolute photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY) of 15.6 %, which is higher than 11.7 % of green CsPbBr3 and 8.3 % of red CsPb(Br/I)3 film. This study develops an effective approach to preparing CsPbX3 nanocrystal thin films, opening a new avenue to design perovskite nanocrystals-based devices for lighting and display applications.Two-dimensional (2D) hybrid perovskites with novel functionalities and structural diversity are a perfect platform for emerging optoelectronic devices such as photodetectors, light-emitting diodes, and solar cells. Here, we demonstrate that excess concentration of Cesium bromide (CsBr) is key to the formation of easily exfoliated 2D Cs2 Cu(Cl/Br)4 perovskite crystal. Furthermore, by employing this trick to 2D perovskite MA2 Cu(Cl/Br)4 (MA=methylammonium), we achieve a phase-pure easily exfoliated 2D mixed-cation (MA/Cs)2 Cu(Cl/Br)4 perovskite crystal, which exhibits reduced bandgap (1.53 eV) with ferromagnetic behavior and photovoltaic property. The resultant mixed-cation structured device reveals enhanced efficiency compared to all MA and all Cs counterparts. These findings demonstrate the importance of cation-engineering in developing innovative materials with novel properties.
In the absence of head-to-head comparisons, the objective of this study was to conduct a network meta-analysis (NMA) to indirectly compare the relative efficacy and safety of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors for ulcerative colitis (UC).
We searched PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and Cochrane Library from the database inception until 13 August 2021. No randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that directly compared these interventions were identified. Therefore, a fixed-effects Bayesian NMA was conducted by identifying a connected (via comparison to placebo) network of RCTs. Ranking was assessed using surface under the cumulative ranking (SUCRA) probabilities.
Seven RCTs including 3190 patients met the inclusion criteria. Filgotinib 100mg was ranked highest for induction of endoscopic remission (SUCRA, 0.67) whereas peficitinib 75mg BID was ranked highest for induction of clinical response (SUCRA, 0.72). Peficitinib 75mg was ranked highest for induction of mucosal healing (SUCRA, 0.71), whereas peficitinib 150mg was ranked highest for clinical remission (SUCRA, 0.74). Tofacitinib 3mg had the highest probability of being the best treatment in terms of change from baseline in Mayo score (SUCRA, 0.78). Adverse events (AEs) and treatment discontinuations or withdrawals from the study due to AEs did not differ between JAK inhibitors and placebo groups.
Based on indirect comparisons, peficitinib 75mg/75mg BID/150mg, tofacitinib 3mg and filgotinib 100mg were the most efficacious JAK inhibitor interventions in patients with UC. However, head-to-head trials are warranted to inform clinical decision-making with greater confidence.

Muscle Dysmorphia (MD) is a severe subtype of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) that shares symptomatic overlap with eating disorders. Although associations between eating disorders/BDD and suicidality are well documented, research has rarely examined associations between MD symptoms and suicidality, which is concerning given MD is associated with additional suicide risk factors compared with these disorders. Further, existing associations between MD symptoms and suicidality have yet to establish temporal ordering for these relationships. Therefore, the current study investigated longitudinal relationships between MD symptoms and suicidal ideation to establish the direction of the MD-suicidality relationship.
Participants were 272 US men displaying sub-clinical MD symptoms who completed self-report measurement at three time points over 6weeks. Longitudinal relationships between MD symptoms and suicidal ideation were examined using a three-wave autoregressive cross-lagged model.
Certain MD symptoms were longitudinally predicted by suicidal ideation.
