The aim of this study was to understand the social identity levels of adolescents and to analyze the negative effects of social media on their social identity from the perspective of social work. The researcher used a descriptive-analytical technique in this study. The study's sample consisted of 200 adolescents (male and female) in the secondary stage at age group (15-18 years). The researcher designed a questionnaire based on the four main levels of James Marcia's theory of social identity. The results showed a variety of negative effects of social media on the social identity of adolescents in terms of "achievement - postponement - closure - dispersion", this requires taking serious measures from the family, the school, and other institutions to care for the family and the child to strengthen how to face these risks to protect the identity of adolescents from violating their privacy and negatively affecting their intellectual principles.
Adverse pregnancy outcomes are the most significant public health problem which leads to serious short and long-term health consequences to the mother and the newborn baby. Adverse pregnancy outcomes, especially prematurity and low birth weights are the major cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality in Ethiopia, particularly in the study area. Therefore, this study was aimed to determine predictors of adverse pregnancy outcome among mothers who gave birth at Hospitals in South Gondar zone, North-central Ethiopia.

Hospital-based unmatched case-control study was conducted. A total of 441 study participants with 147 cases and 294 controls were included. The study participants were selected by multi-stage sampling technique. G Protein inhibitor A combination of chart review and interview were used. Data entry and analysis were done by using Epi data version 3.1 and SPSS version 23 respectively. Descriptive & analytical statistics were computed. In the binary logistic regression, both bivariable and multivariable analysis waoutcome. This study implies the need to improve dietary counseling for pregnant mothers during antenatal care visits. Beside to this, counseling on birth spacing should be given to improve inter-pregnancy intervals.
This study showed that history of adverse pregnancy outcome, pregnancy induced hypertension, did not receive dietary counseling, history of hyperemesis gravidarum, and inter-pregnancy interval less than 24 months were significantly associated with adverse pregnancy outcome. This study implies the need to improve dietary counseling for pregnant mothers during antenatal care visits. Beside to this, counseling on birth spacing should be given to improve inter-pregnancy intervals.
The relationship of nurses and patients in healthcare settings has been central in ensuring good and efficient healthcare delivery. The total hospital attendance in the Kwahu Government Hospital have reduced in recent years. The study explored patients' perceptions of the nurse-patient relationship and its influence on hospital attendance at the Kwahu Government Hospital.

A phenomenological qualitative study design, with a purposive sampling technique, was used to interview ten participants from the various wards in the hospital on their perceptions of the nurse patient relationship and its influence on hospital attendance. The data were transcribed and analysed using a thematic content analysis approach that embraces three interrelated stages, namely data reduction, data display, and data conclusion drawing.

Many of the participants had positive perceptions regarding the attitude of nurses, and that influenced hospital attendance while others opined that nurses' attitudes towards them made them attend evaluations of patients' experiences as well as nurses' experiences to address deficiencies in communication and nurse-patient interactions.Previous research has suggested the negative relationship between self-esteem and conspicuous consumption since conspicuous consumption is aimed to gain social recognition and signal status. However, it has not been much explored how this relationship holds depending on social classes. We propose subjective social class will moderate the relationship between social self-esteem and conspicuous consumption. We also hypothesize the mediating roles of social dominance orientation and life satisfaction in the proposed moderation effect. By conducting the survey with the American sample, we tested these predictions. In Study 1, we showed that the negative relationship between social self-esteem and conspicuous consumption appeared only among high subjective social class individuals. In Study 2, we replicated Study 1 and further demonstrated that social dominance orientation and life satisfaction respectively mediated the interactive effect of subjective social class and social self-esteem on conspicuous consumption. The results suggest that among individuals who perceive themselves to be in a high social class, a low level of social self-esteem is conducive to conspicuous consumption. The theoretical implications and limitations of the present investigation are discussed. The oomycete genus Phytophthora includes devastating plant pathogens that are found in almost all ecosystems. We sequenced the genomes of two quarantined Phytophthora species-P. fragariae and P. rubi. Comparing these Phytophthora species and related genera allowed reconstruction of the phylogenetic relationships within the genus Phytophthora and revealed Phytophthora genomic features associated with infection and pathogenicity. We found that several hundred Phytophthora genes are putatively inherited from red algae, but Phytophthora does not have vestigial plastids originating from phototrophs. The horizontally-transferred Phytophthora genes are abundant transposons that "transmit" exogenous gene to Phytophthora species thus bring about the gene recombination possibility. Several expansion events of Phytophthora gene families associated with cell wall biogenesis can be used as mutational targets to elucidate gene function in pathogenic interactions with host plants. This work enhanced the understanding of Phytophthora evolution and will also be helpful for the design of phytopathological control strategies.
