Thus, we clarify that the composite elastomers exhibit various color changes due to the combination of structural color change in response to the mechanical stimulus, pigment color change in response to light irradiation, and background color change.Given the importance of ion gradients and fluxes in biology, monitoring ions locally at the exterior of the plasma membrane of intact cells in a noninvasive manner is highly desirable but challenging. Classical targeting of genetically encoded biosensors at the exterior of cell surfaces would be a suitable approach; however, it often leads to intracellular accumulation of the tools in vesicular structures and adverse modifications, possibly impairing sensor functionality. To tackle these issues, we generated recombinant fluorescent ion biosensors fused to traptavidin (TAv) specifically coupled to a biotinylated AviTag expressed on the outer cell surface of cells. We show that purified chimeras of TAv and pH-Lemon or GEPII 1.0, Förster resonance energy transfer-based pH and K+ biosensors, can be immobilized directly and specifically on biotinylated surfaces including glass platelets and intact cells, thereby remaining fully functional for imaging of ion dynamics. The immobilization of recombinant TAv-GEPII 1.0 on the extracellular cell surface of primary cortical rat neurons allowed imaging of excitotoxic glutamate-induced K+ efflux in vitro. We also performed micropatterning of purified TAv biosensors using a microperfusion system to generate spatially separated TAv-pH-Lemon and TAv-GEPII 1.0 spots for simultaneous pH and K+ measurements on cell surfaces. Our results suggest that the approach can be greatly expanded by immobilizing various biosensors on extracellular surfaces to quantitatively visualize microenvironmental transport and signaling processes in different cell culture models and other experimental settings.Multidrug-resistant bacterial infections have become a global threat. We recently disclosed that the known IKK-β inhibitor IMD-0354 and subsequent analogues abrogate colistin resistance in several Gram-negative strains. Herein, we report the activity of a second-generation library of IMD-0354 analogues incorporating a benzimidazole moiety as an amide isostere. We identified several analogues that show increased colistin potentiation activity against Gram-negative bacteria. The materials of young scientist conference (maxillofacial surgery).August 23, 2021 at the age of 83 years died from complications of the course of a new coronavirus infection professor Alexander Ivanovich Nerobeev honored figure of science of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences.Alexander Ryakhovsky, MD, professor, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, celebrates his 60th birthday.November 27 is the 70th birthday of Professor Vladimir Davidovich Wagner, honored physician of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medicine and head of the department of organization of dental service, licensing and accreditation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Central Research Institute of Dental Medicine and Lung Diseases of the Russian Ministry of Health.Matvey Zaharovich (Zalmanovich) Steingart was born March 23, 1921 in the Belorussian border town of Velizh. After graduating from high school he entered a medical school. But the war prevented him from finishing it. M.Z. Steingart was drafted into the Red Army. His first baptism of fire was received during the defense of Moscow. In the battles for Moscow M.Z. Steingart was seriously wounded. After the hospital he fought in the airborne assault of the 3rd Ukrainian front, many times he parachuted down into the enemy rear. click here By the end of the war Matvey Zakharovitch had a rank of guards of the senior lieutenant of medical service. Orders of the Red Star, the Patriotic war of the first degree, a silver medal "For war merits", medals "For a capture of Vienna", "For clearing of Belgrade", "For a capture of Budapest", "For a victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945" gleamed on his breast. In May 1945, shortly after the Victory Day, Matvey Zakharovitch left for the Far East, where he participated in the battles with the Japanese Kwantung Army. This is evidenced by the medal "For Victory over Japan" awarded to him. Then he served in Mongolia. And only in 1947 the young man of the Order comes back to his homeland, becoming a student of the N.A. Schors Omsk Military Medical College, where Matvey Zakharov's tutor was Major Anatoly Rybakov, a future academician. In Omsk there was a civil medical college of the Ministry of Health, the head of which at that time was Evgeny Ivanovich Gavrilov, a future professor, honored worker of science of Russia. Back then, in Omsk, the strong male friendship of these extraordinary, intelligent and strong people began and lasted for many years. One of the important factors for creating a beautiful smile is the color of the teeth, which for most people has a more important role than anatomical characteristics. The exact reproduction of the color of the tooth affects the appearance and psycho-emotional state of the patient. The purpose of this work is to review domestic and foreign literature on methods for determining the color of teeth. Methods for determining color are divided into visual, spectrophotometric, colorimetric, digital photo analysis and computer method. The most common in the practice of a dentist is visual, which is based on comparing the examined tooth with color templates. Determination of the color of teeth using scales does not give a reliable result, which is due to the small number of shades in the colors, the phenomenon of metamerism, the impossibility of converting the obtained data into digital values, etc. The hardware method for determining the color of teeth compensates for the disadvantages of the visual and has a high adaptability, which requires many interrelated factors. Due to the complexity and high cost, the devices are used mainly for research purposes. Currently, innovative methods for determining the color of teeth, based on digital and computer analysis, are being actively developed. Thus, hardware methods for determining the color of teeth significantly increase the accuracy of choosing the shade of a future aesthetic restoration or orthopedic construction, excluding subjective factors, however, they require mandatory certification. Correct color assessment and identification helps to reduce costly re-treatments and reduce warranty costs. Despite this, visual methods using scales remain in demand among practicing doctors, due to their low cost and ease of use. The accuracy of determining the color of teeth in this case depends on the professionalism of the dentist, as well as on the correctness of the photo protocol. In the scientific literature, one can find conflicting assumptions about the presence of «proper mental bone» and «upper and lower lingual canals», which make up a separate ossified area in the chin of the mandible and the system of blood supply and innervation. However, calling these lesions «lingual canals» or «incisal canals», as is often found in various articles, is incorrect based on the position of International Anatomical Terminology. This is due to the lack of topographic reference in the term, which can equally be understood as the canal of the tongue, the neurovascular bundle of the same name, and the root canal system of the teeth of the lower jaw and can also be associated with the maxilla. We searched for information in English, without time limits, in the PubMed Central database, and searched on Google and analyzed the bibliography, relevant studies and reviews. The selection of publications was carried out by request «mental spine canals», 58 articles were found in PubMed, of which 21 were relevant. For the analysis, publications were selected that described in detail the anatomical, clinical and radiological features of the structure of the anterior part of the mandible. As a result of previous studies and the study of literature data, the intraosseous structures of the anterior part of the lower jaw were refined and classified, which solve not only terminological disputes, but also are important clinical guidelines for endodontic treatment, dental implantation and local anesthesia.
Was to review laboratory methods measuring the bond strength of adhesive dental materials to hard tooth tissues. The paper points out the impact of test conditions on the measured strength of adhesive bond to dentine and enamel. Various
studies are discussed, including the analyses of fracture surfaces and test-induced stresses. These studies are found to be helpful to identify particularities, advantages, and limitations of each approach. We present a systematic picture of available bond-strength data aimed at revealing general trends in adhesive performance. No clear superiority of any particular method for determining the bond strength between restoration materials and tooth tissues can be identified on the basis of reviewed literature. Therefore, no single universal approach can be at present proposed for determining the strength of adhesive bond.

Analysis of epidemiological data on the prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies indicates that there is no tendency to decrease it in Russia and abroad countries. The demand for orthodontic treatment is increasing with the development of new technologies and materials, the development of modern methods of treatment in the field of dentistry. This trend is accompanied by increased requirements for the quality of orthodontic care. The patient's dissatisfaction with the result of treatment most often arises because of a discrepancy between his subjective assessment of treatment and the objective anatomical, functional and aesthetic state of occlusion. The use of methods for quantitative assessment of dentoalveolar anomalies and the quality of orthodontic treatment makes it possible to objectively substantiate the choice of tactics of orthodontic care and increase its effectiveness. At the same time, the patient's subjective assessment of the quality of orthodontic treatment allows one to see how the proposed (implemented) treatment plan reflects the patient's main complaints and to assess the degree of his satisfaction with the achieved result. That`s why, the issue of using methods of objective and subjective assessment of the quality and effectiveness of orthodontic treatment is relevant today. The purpose of the literature review is to consider the development and implementation of criteria for an objective and subjective assessment of the outcome of orthodontic treatment.
