Moreover, in the sixth wave, intrafamiliar transmission was the main route of infection (17/30; 56.6%), and nosocomial transmission was confirmed in 2 LTRs (6.6%).

Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a new type of ultrasonic elastography that can quantitatively assess the elasticity and stiffness of tissues. This study aimed to investigate the value of SWE in evaluating the effectiveness of microwave ablation in hepatic malignancies. A total of 24 patients (including 30 lesions) with liver malignancies receiving microwave ablation treatment at the Cancer Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from April 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled. The elastography was performed within 1 week before and after ablation. The SWE values in the central zone, the marginal zone of the lesion, and peripheral liver parenchyma were collected and analyzed. Before ablation, the mean of SWE value was 65.80 ± 13.37 kPa for the central zone of the tumor and 39.93 ± 7.87 kPa for the marginal zone, both of which were significantly greater than that for the perinatal liver parenchyma (12.85 ± 2.67 kPa, both P < 0.05). In the central and marginal zone of the lesions, the SWE value was signific values in the central zone, the marginal zone of the lesion, and peripheral liver parenchyma were collected and analyzed. The effect of the COVID-19 epidemic on HIV self-testing (HIVST) remains unclear. We aimed to quantify the impact of COVID restrictions on HIVST kit purchasing behaviors in mainland China.

Deidentified transaction data were retrieved from a large online shopping platform. An interrupted time series model was constructed to examine the impact of COVID restrictions on the weekly number of anonymous customers purchasing HIVST kits, online orders, and purchased kits.

A total of 2.32 million individuals submitted 4.46 million orders for 4.84 million HIVST kits between January 7, 2016, and April 22, 2020. Compared with expected levels, assuming COVID-19 epidemic and related restrictions had not happened, the number of purchasers, orders, and kits decreased by an estimated 10,500 (51.7%), 18,000 (55.3%), and 18,500 (54.9%) in the first week (January 23, 2020, to January 29, 2020) after COVID restrictions were implemented, respectively. As restrictions eased, the number of purchasers, orders, and kits increased by an average of 7.4%, 4.8%, and 4.9% per week, respectively. In the first week after COVID restrictions were lifted (April 9, 2020, to April 15, 2020), the number of purchasers returned to expected levels, whereas the number of orders and kits were still lower than expected levels. The impact of COVID restrictions on outcomes at the beginning of COVID restrictions and the increasing trends of outcomes were larger among those living in regions with higher COVID-19 incidence (eg, Wuhan city and Hubei province).

Kidney transplant recipients with high intrapatient variability (IPV) in tacrolimus (Tac) exposure experience more rejection and reduced graft survival. To understand the underlying pathophysiology of this association, the authors investigated whether patients with high tacrolimus IPV have a more activated immune system than patients with low IPV. In addition, exposure to tacrolimus and mycophenolic acid (MPA) was studied in relation to rejection and graft survival.

At the time of patient inclusion (5-7 years post-transplantation), the frequency of donor-reactive cells was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the development of donor-specific anti-Human Leukocyte Antigen antibodies (DSA) was measured by Luminex Single Antigen assay. Tacrolimus IPV was retrospectively calculated between 6 and 12 months and the exposure to tacrolimus and MPA was determined between 1 and 5 years post-transplantation.

We examined longitudinal patterns and cofactors of depressive symptoms among pregnant and postpartum women living with HIV (WLWH).

This study used data from a randomized trial of a text messaging intervention. WLWH were serially assessed for depressive symptoms from pregnancy through 24 months postpartum at 6 time points (pregnancy, 6 weeks, and 6, 12, 18, and 24 months postpartum). Depressive symptoms were assessed using Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and longitudinal patterns using group-based trajectory modeling. Moderate-to-severe depressive symptoms (MSD) correlates were assessed using generalized estimating equations.

Among 824 enrolled women, 14.6% ever had MSD during pregnancy or postpartum; 8.6% of WLWH had MSD in pregnancy and 9.0% any postpartum MSD. MSD was associated with abuse [RR 3.8, 95% confidence interval (CI) 2.6 to 5.4], stigma (RR 4.4, 95% CI 3.1 to 6.3), and food insecurity (RR 2.7, 95% CI 1.9 to 3.8). Unintended pregnancy (RR 1.6, 95% CI 1.1 to 2.3) and recent HIV diagnosis (RR 1.lecting low social power (abuse, stigma, and unintended pregnancy). Women experiencing concurrent abuse, stigma, and food insecurity should be prioritized for interventions to prevent persistent depression.
