After knockdown of P311 and hyperoxic treatment, cell viability, cell cycle progression, apoptosis and the Smad3 signaling pathway were examined. Rat AEC II were pretreated with SIS3 HCl for 4 h and then subjected to P311 overexpression plasmid transfection and hyperoxic exposure. Then, cell viability, apoptosis and the Smad3 signaling pathway were determined. The results showed that hyperoxic exposure significantly elevated P311 levels in rat AEC II. P311 knockdown increased cell viability, accelerated cell cycle progression and inhibited apoptosis, as well as suppression of the Smad3 signaling pathway in hyperoxia-exposed AEC II. Additionally, we found that P311 overexpression enhanced the effects of hyperoxia. Interestingly, SIS3 HCl incubation blocked the effects of P311 overexpression on rat AEC II function under hyperoxic condition, as evidenced by an increase in cell viability, and suppressions of apoptosis and the Smad3 signaling pathway. These results indicate that P311 knockdown may ameliorate hyperoxia-induced injury by inhibiting the Smad3 signaling pathway in rat AEC II. P311 may be a novel target for the treatment of hyperoxia-induced lung injury and even bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).To profile microRNAs population of glucose-induced cardiomyoblast cell line and identify the differentially expressed microRNAs and their role under pre-diabetes and diabetes condition in vitro. The present systematic review aims to describe the incidence and severity of chemotherapy-related oral mucositis in children and adolescents affected by hematologic and solid tumors.

An electronic search was performed on PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and EBSCO up to the 8th November 2020. The PRISMA protocol was followed for the article selection and inclusion. The risk of bias in individual studies was evaluated through the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. Data were summarized using mean and standard deviation for continuous variables, while categorical ones were described with frequency and percentage.

A number of 9940 records were obtained after the electronic search. Seventeen of them were included in the qualitative analysis after the two stages of screening, while none of these articles was considered eligible for the quantitative analysis. The mean incidence of oral mucositis was 53.6% and it ranged from 16.7 to 91.5%, while severe oral mucositis accounted for the 15.8% (0.0-35.2%) among selected studies. Most of the articles included both patients with solid and hematologic tumors, while only five of them described oral mucositis in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Even the kinds of chemotherapy administered were extremely variable.

Herein, a highly solar active graphitic carbon nitride-assisted bismuth phosphate nanocomposite (BiPO4@g-C3N4) was synthesized by the thermal decomposition of melamine followed by the co-precipitation method. Various analytical techniques were utilized to characterize the prepared BiPO4, g-C3N4, and BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposites. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows the nanorods and particle morphology of the bare BiPO4 and g-C3N4 respectively. Furthermore, the optical band gap energies of the BiPO4, g-C3N4, and BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposite have been calculated to be 4.20, 2.66, and 2.68 eV respectively. Under sunlight, the BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposite showed higher photocatalytic activity towards the degradation of RR120. The BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposite efficiently degrades the RR120 under sunlight with a higher first-order reaction rate constant of 0.0145 min-1. This is seven times higher than that of bare BiPO4 (0.0019 min-1) nanorods and four times greater than g-C3N4 (0.0036 min-1). The photocatalytic efficiency was found to be maximum at pH 4 and decreased as the pH of the solution increased. Even after five recycle runs, the catalyst performance of the RR120 dye has decreased by less than 5%, indicating the high stability of the BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposite. Furthermore, the radical trapping experiment demonstrates that the active species in the dye degradation process are holes and hydroxide radicals. The photocatalytic mechanism was proposed for the BiPO4@g-C3N4 nanocomposite and further validated by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis.
