Compartmentalization of Resistance-Associated Alternatives within HIV/HCV-Infected People: Achievable Relationship using Infecting HCV Genotype.
Peer providers in the mental health field, having their own lived experience with mental illness, use their personal experience to assist the consumers of their services. Given high burnout rates in the mental health field, there have been two prior investigations of burnout among peer providers. The present study extends those prior investigations to a sample of peer providers working in community mental health programs in a rural area of the United States. Consistent with the prior studies, there were no differences in burnout between peer providers and other providers employed by those programs, with particularly strong support for the null hypothesis regarding the emotional exhaustion component of burnout. There were also no differences in strength of turnover intentions. However, among the non-consumer providers emotional exhaustion was correlated with both types of turnover intention assessed in this study (intent to change job setting within the mental health field and intent to leave the mental health workforce), whereas among the peer providers emotional exhaustion was correlated only with intent to leave the mental health field. Workload dissatisfaction was the workplace variable most strongly associated with emotional exhaustion among both types of providers. Other moderately strong inverse predictors of emotional exhaustion among peer providers were workplace community and workplace control, and the correlation between emotional exhaustion and workplace control was significantly stronger among the peer providers than among the other providers.
Previous studies have suggested variable levels of associations between work-family conflict (W_F_C) and its antecedents in different populations. We aimed to assess the antecedents of this conflict and its two types; work-to-family (WFC) and family-to-work (FWC) among Egyptian civil workers.

In a convenience sample of 3134 Egyptian civil workers, we assessed the W_F_C using the National Study of Midlife Development in the US and attributed it, by logistic and linear regression analyses, to several sociodemographic, work/family situational, behavioral, and health-related variables which were collected by a questionnaire survey between October 2019 and January 2020.

W_F_C was prevalent in 56% of the sample (51% for WFC and 62% for FWC). The work and family situational factors were the most significant antecedents of the W_F_C and its two types; partial

was 0.71. Both the health-related and behavioral clusters of antecedents were also predictors of W_F_C, while the sociodemographic antecedents contributed minimally to the FWC. The multivariable odds ratios (95% CIs) for high W_F_C in those with high vs low work demands, job control, social support at work, and family were 4.11 (2.89-7.03), 0.0 (0.66-0.90), 0.86 (0.62-0.98), and 0.74 (0.59-0.94), respectively.

Travel medicine practitioners often are confronted with returning travelers with dermatologic disorders that could be of infectious causes or inflammatory or allergic. Some dermatologic processes are the result of exposure to insects or acquired due to environmental exposures. There is a broad range of dermatosis of infectious and non-infectious etiologies that clinicians need to consider in the differential diagnosis of dermatosis in travelers.

With increasing international travel to tropical destinations, many individuals may be exposed to rickettsia (i.e., African tick bite fever, scrub typhus, or Mediterranean spotted fever), parasitic infections (i.e., cutaneous larva migrans, cutaneous leishmaniasis, African trypanosomiasis, or American trypanosomiasis), viral infections (i.e., measles or Zika virus infection), bacterial (i.e., Buruli ulcer) or ectoparasites (scabies or tungiasis), and myiasis. Cutaneous lesions provide clinical clues to the diagnosis of specific exposures during travel among returned travelers.
