Influenza B virus has two distinct lineages (Victoria and Yamagata) and are associated with seasonal influenza epidemics that cause respiratory illness. Throughout this study, we generated models from the transitioning (evolving viral lineage) 1998-2018 influenza B/Yamagata HA, verified the quality of each HA model, performed HA RBS structural variability measurements, superimposed varying HA models for comparison, and designed a phylogenetic tree network for further analyses. We found that measurements of the transitioning HA RBS structural variability were generally maintained and, similarly, measurements of the altered (years that differed from the evolving viral lineage, specifically 2003, 2007, 2017) HA RBS structural variability differed from the transitioning HA RBS. Moreover, we observed that the altered HA RBS structural variability favored the formation of a putative Y202-H191 hydrogen bond which we postulate may increase structural stability, thereby, allowing for a winter infection of the virus. Furthermore, we established that changes in HA RBS structural variability does not influence viral evolution, but putatively seasonal infection. To define the skin temperature at which diseased nerves are better differentiated from the healthy. It is concluded that conduction adjustments for low hand temperatures based on healthy measurements resulted in overcorrection and therefore underdiagnosis of CTS. Alternatively, at excessive hand warming the convergence of patient and healthy measurements also lead to underdiagnosis. Maintenance of skin temperature at 32-33 °C, corresponding to normal body temperature, is the optimum approach and should always be employed in clinical practice. BACKGROUND AND AIMS Diabetes has been recognized as a continuing health challenge for the twenty-first century, both in developed and developing countries including Bangladesh. The main objective of this study is to use machine learning (ML) based classifiers for automated detection and classification of diabetes. METHODS The diabetes dataset have taken from Bangladesh demographic and health survey, 2011 data having 1569 respondents are 127 diabetes. Two statistical tests as independent t for continuous and chi-square for categorical variables are used to determine the risk factors of diabetes. Six ML-based classifiers as support vector machine, random forest, linear discriminant analysis, logistic regression, k-nearest neighborhood, bagged classification and regression tree (Bagged CART) have been adopted to predict and classify of diabetes. RESULTS Our findings show that 11 factors out of 15 factors are significantly associated with diabetes. Bagged CART provides the highest accuracy and area under the curve of 94.3% and 0.600. CONCLUSIONS Bagged CART anticipates a very supportive computational resource for classification of diabetes and it would be very helpful to the doctors for making a decision to control diabetes disease in Bangladesh. The sibling of the index case with the same SCN1A variant was subsequently managed with prophylactic regular sodium valproate and additional clobazam post vaccination to reduce the risk of seizure. She has successfully completed the childhood immunisations to 18 months with no seizures and normal neurodevelopmental progress. CONCLUSION As the aetiology of genetic epilepsies is increasingly known in early childhood, opportunities to personalise care, minimise risks and optimise outcomes are changing. Adsorbed microplastics on plant tissues are easily ingested by herbivores. Plants can thus represent a viable pathway for microplastics to enter aquatic food webs. On the other hand, the strong interactions of microplastics with plants could be used for their phytostabilization and final removal from the environment. Aquatic vascular plants have thus an important role in the behavior and fate of microplastics in aquatic ecosystems, and therefore, they should also be included in the future microplastic research. The present study attempts to explore and compare the seasonal variability in chemical composition and contributions of different sources of fine and coarse fractions of aerosols (PM2.5 and PM10) in Delhi, India from January 2013 to December 2016. The annual average concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 were 131 ± 79 μg m-3 (range 17-417 μg m-3) and 238 ± 106 μg m-3 (range 34-537 μg m-3), respectively. PM2.5 and PM10 samples were chemically characterized to assess their chemical components [i.e. organic carbon (OC), elemental carbon (EC), water soluble inorganic ionic components (WSICs) and heavy and trace elements] and then used for estimation of enrichment factors (EFs) and applied positive matrix factorization (PMF5) model to evaluate their prominent sources on seasonal basis in Delhi. PMF identified eight major sources i.e. Secondary nitrate (SN), secondary sulphate (SS), vehicular emissions (VE), biomass burning (BB), soil dust (SD), fossil fuel combustion (FFC), sodium and magnesium salts (SMS) and industrial emissions (IE). Total carbon contributes ∼28% to the total PM2.5 concentration and 24% to the total PM10 concentration and followed the similar seasonality pattern. SN and SS followed opposite seasonal pattern, where SN was higher during colder seasons while SS was greater during warm seasons. The seasonal differences in VE contributions were not very striking as it prevails evidently most of year. Emissions from BB is one of the major sources in Delhi with larger contribution during winter and post monsoon seasons due to stable meteorological conditions and aggrandized biomass burning (agriculture residue burning in and around the regions; mainly Punjab and Haryana) and domestic heating during the season. Conditional Bivariate Probability Function (CBPF) plots revealed that the maximum concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 were carried by north westerly winds (north-western Indo Gangetic Plains of India). The aim of this study was to assess the soil contamination caused by potentially toxic elements (Al, As, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Se, V, and Zn) using various indices and the associated risk of human health for adults and children in selected soils from Germany (Calcic Luvisols, Tidalic Fluvisols, Haplic Gleysols, and Eutric Fluvisols) and Egypt (Haplic Calcisols, Sodic Fluvisols, and Eutric Fluvisols). Soil contamination degree has been assessed using indices such as contamination factor (CF), pollution load index (PLI), geo-accumulation index (Igeo), and enrichment factor. We also assessed the health risk for children and for male and female adults. Chromium, Cu, As, Mo, Ni, Se, and Zn in the German Fluvisols had high CF of >6, while in the Egyptian Fluvisols Se, Mo, As, and Al revealed a high CF. The PLI (1.1-5.2) was higher than unity in most soils (except for Tidalic Fluvisols), while the most important contributor was Se, followed by Mo and As in the Egyptian Fluvisols, and by Cr, Cu, and Zn in the German Fluvisols. The median value of hazard index (HI) for children in the studied soils indicated an elevated health risk (higher than one), especially in the German Fluvisols (HI = 4.0-29.0) and in the Egyptian Fluvisols (HI = 2.2-5.2). For adults, median HIs in all soils were lower than unity for both males and females. The key contributor to HI was As in the whole soil profiles, accounting for about 59% of the total HIs in all three person groupings. Our findings show that in the studied multi-element contaminated soils the risk for children's health is higher than for adults; while mainly As (and Al, Cr, Cu, and Fe) contributed significantly to soil-derived health risk.
