Nodal recurrent prostate cancer (PCa) represents a common state of disease, amenable to local therapy. PSMA-PET/CT detects PCa recurrence at low PSA levels. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcome of PSMA-PET/CT-based salvage radiotherapy (sRT) for lymph node (LN) recurrence.

A total of 100 consecutive patients treated with PSMA-PET/CT-based salvage elective nodal radiotherapy (sENRT) for LN recurrence were retrospectively examined. Patients underwent PSMA-PET/CT scan due to biochemical persistence (bcP, 76%) or biochemical recurrence (bcR, 24%) after radical prostatectomy (RP). Biochemical recurrence-free survival (BRFS) defined as PSA < post-RT nadir + 0.2ng/ml and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method and uni- and multivariate analysis was performed.

Median follow-up was 37months. Median PSA at PSMA-PET/CT was 1.7ng/ml (range 0.1-40.1) in patients with bcP and 1.4ng/ml (range 0.3-5.1) in patients with bcR. PSMA-PET/CT detected 1, 2, and 3 ows that the so far, unmatched sensitivity and specificity of PSMA-PET/CT translates in comparably high BRFS and DMFS after PSMA-PET/CT-based sENRT for patients with PCa LN recurrence. Concomitant ADT, duration of ADT, PSA value before sRT, and localization of LN metastases were significant factors for improved outcome.

However, reported 3D-printed biosensors are usually constructed by physical adsorption and needed immobilizing reagents on the surface of functional materials. To construct the 3D-printed biosensors, the simple modification of the 3D-printed device by non-expert is mandatory to take advantage of the remote, distributed 3D printing manufacturing. Here, a 3D-printed electrode was prepared by fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing technique and activated by chemical and electrochemical methods. A glucose oxidase-based 3D-printed nanocarbon electrode was prepared by covalent linkage method to an enzyme on the surface of the 3D-printed electrode to enable biosensing. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the glucose oxidase-based biosensor. Direct electrochemistry glucose oxidase-based biosensor with higher stability was then chosen to detect the two biomarkers, hydrogen peroxide and glucose by chronoamperometry. The prepared glucose oxidase-based biosensor was further used for the detection of glucose in samples of apple cider. The covalently linked glucose oxidase 3D-printed nanocarbon electrode as a biosensor showed excellent stability. This work can open new doors for the covalent modification of 3D-printed electrodes in other electrochemistry fields such as biosensors, energy, and biocatalysis.Melanoma is one of the most common malignant tumors that originate from nerve sheath melanocytes and are produced in the skin and other organs. This paper mainly studied the role of miR-582 in melanoma. The expression of miR-582 in melanoma cell lines and tissues was evaluated by real-time quantitative PCR. Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox proportional hazards model analysis were used to investigate the prognostic value of miR-582 in melanoma. Cell proliferation, invasion, and migration were analyzed using CCK-8 and transwell assays. The results showed that miR-582 was significantly decreased in melanoma cells and tissues. Downregulation of miR-582 was associated with ulceration, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, and poor overall survival. The functional results showed that low expression of miR-582 can promote cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. FOXC1 was a direct target of miR-582. Overall, the expression of miR-582 is downregulated in melanoma tissues and cell lines. Low expression of miR-582 is associated with prognosis and progression of melanoma by targeting FOXC1. miR-582 may be a prognostic biomarker and a new therapeutic strategy for melanoma.The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has disrupted clinical practice everywhere. The aim of this study was to quantify the specific impact of COVID-19 on skin cancer treatment at an academic dermatologic surgery practice. We conducted a retrospective chart review to compare metrics such as patient visits, histological upgrading, and Mohs stages per tumor between 60-day periods immediately before and after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. Out of 1138 total encounters, decreases of 58% in total in-person visits and 38% in Mohs surgeries performed were observed following declaration of the pandemic. More squamous cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma in situ (SCC/SCCIS) and less basal cell carcinoma (BCC) tumors were treated post-declaration compared to pre-declaration. There was a significantly higher histological upgrade rate for total tumors, as well as for the BCC subgroup, but not the SCC/SCCIS subgroup. While the overall number of dermatologic surgeries decreased after declaration of the pandemic, the higher histological upgrade rate reflects an appropriate triage of higher risk skin cancers. These findings may be useful both to assess the effectiveness of protocols for COVID-19 and to prepare for future resource-limited scenarios.
Our objective was to assess burnout prevalence rates among physicians practicing in Europe (regardless of their specialty) taking into account the main approaches used to define burnout with the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) tool.

A systematic review was carried out from 2006 to 2018. A keyword request was obtained using the PubMed/Medline, Web of Science and Banque de Données en Santé Publique search engine. Studies written in English measuring burnout with the MBI tool among a population of practicing European physicians were selected. Data were extracted and classified according to burnout's definition provided by the authors. Three definitions using the MBI dimensions were considered tri-, bi- and unidimensional definition. A meta-analysis was then performed on burnout prevalence rates according to the dimensional definition of burnout.

From 2378 search results, we selected 56 studies including from up to 41 European countries. Depending upon the study, physicians' burnout prevalence rates ranged from 2.5% to 72.0%. The pooled prevalence rate of burnout was estimated at 7.7% [5.3-10.4%] with the tridimensional definition, 19.7% [13.5-26.3%] with the bidimensional definition and 43.2% [29.0-57.6%] with the unidimensional definition.

Burnout pooled prevalence among physicians varies from single to fivefold depending on the method employed to assess burnout with the MBI tool. Medical community should determine a standardized method to assess burnout prevalence rates to best evaluate this phenomenon.

To explore the high-risk period of the occupation of suicide after diagnosis; and clarify the risk factors of suicidal behaviors (suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, and suicidal death) behind the lung cancer patients during the cancer cure process.

This scoping review was conducted through the whole month of April 2021. We extracted data of the suicide mortality after diagnosis and latent risk factors of suicidal behaviors among lung cancer patients where we used to study from the two online databases which are PubMed and Web of Science. Two online databases were searched and written in English without age restriction. To note that the standardized mortality ratio (SMR), person-years, and odds ratio (OR) associated with lung cancer were documented.

Out of 570 records, 23 studies mentioned suicidal behaviors and lung cancer met the included criteria. Eleven (n = 47.8%) of the selected publications reported changes in suicide mortality. None of them reported suicidal ideation or suicide attempt after diagnosis.
