An ANCOVA was conducted with four levels of willingness to learn as the independent variable and ALPHA correct answer rate as the dependent variable, adjusting for confounding factors (years of athletic experience and anti-doping education experience). The percentage of athletes (%) and each ALPHA correct answer rate (%) by the level of willingness to learn was 1 strongly disagree, n = 1.64%, 61.78%; 2 somewhat disagree, n = 13.14%, 62.38%; 3 somewhat agree, n = 62.94%, 64.08%; 4 strongly agree, n = 22.28%, 67.11%. The ALPHA correct answer rates showed significant differences in the main effect by the level of willingness to learn [F (3, 1767) = 2.873, p less then 0.05, η2 = 0.01], although the effect size was small, and multiple comparisons showed no significant differences between the levels. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are a commonly prescribed class of medication used to treat heart failure, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. However, previous observational studies have shown conflicting directions of associations between ACE inhibitors and risk of Alzheimer disease. Genetic evidence has supported a protective effect of cerebral ACE against Alzheimer disease (AD). However, it is unclear whether this effect is mediated through blood pressure and extends to other neurodegenerative diseases.

We performed genetic colocalization investigating an effect of cortical
expression on AD risk in people of European ancestry. We further investigated whether any effect of
expression on AD risk is mediated through changes in blood pressure and whether effects extend to Parkinson disease, small-vessel disease, or cognitive function in a Mendelian randomization paradigm.

There was genetic evidence supporting a protective effect of cortical
expression on AD risk in people of European ancestry. Although higher cortical
expression was associated with higher blood pressure, there was no strong evidence to support that its association with AD was mediated through blood pressure nor that
expression affected risk of other neurodegenerative traits.

Further work is required to investigate whether therapeutic inhibition of ACE increases risk of Alzheimer disease.In 2019, a biallelic pentanucleotide repeat expansion in the gene encoding replication factor C subunit 1 (RFC1) was reported as a cause of cerebellar ataxia with neuropathy and vestibular areflexia syndrome (CANVAS). In addition, biallelic expansions were shown to account for up to 22% of cases with late-onset ataxia. Since this discovery, the phenotypic spectrum reported to be associated with RFC1 expansions has extended beyond the initial conditions to include pure cerebellar ataxia, isolated somatosensory impairment, combinations of the 2, and parkinsonism, leading to a potentially broad differential diagnosis. Genetic studies suggest RFC1 expansions may be the most common genetic cause of ataxia and are likely underdiagnosed. This review summarizes the current molecular and clinical knowledge of RFC1-related disease, with a focus on the evaluation of recent phenotype associations and highlighting the current challenges in clinical pathways to diagnosis and molecular testing.
To report the clinical presentation of the first Italian child affected by hypomyelinating leukodystrophy (HLD) associated with the recurrent variant p.Asp252Asn in the

The methods included clinical case description, neurophysiologic assessment, brain MRI, and whole-exome sequencing (WES).

The child presented soon after birth with nystagmus and hyperkinetic movement disorder. Focal seizures appeared from 2 months of age and recurred at high frequency, despite several antiseizure medications, and focal epileptic status frequently required IV phenytoin. Control of seizures was achieved at the age of 8 months by the association of high doses of sodium blockers. Clinical picture worsened over time and was characterized by axial hypotonia, failure to thrive requiring gastrostomy, pyramidal sings, and severe secondary microcephaly. MRI performed at ages 2, 6, and 20 months showed diffuse supratentorial and subtentorial hypomyelination; multimodal evoked potentials showed increased latency. WES performed at 6 months of age identified the p.Asp252Asn de novo variant in the
gene.

An eight-week randomized controlled trial was employed. Sixty-five elderly patients undergoing post-stroke rehabilitation in a hospital in Shanghai, China. Patients were randomly assigned to the musicokinetic (n = 32) therapy group or the exercise (n = 33) therapy group. The Mini-mental State Examination Scale measuring the patients' cognitive functions was used to screen participants. The Hamilton Depression Rating Scale and the Health Regulatory Focus Scale were applied to assess their levels of depression and health regulatory focus on weeks 0, 4, and 8, respectively. The musicokinetic therapy had a significantly better effect than the exercise therapy for individuals who had a lower level of prevention focus, whereas the exercise therapy had a significantly better effect than the musicokinetic therapy for individuals who had a higher level of prevention focus. Musicokinetic therapy and exercise therapy were both effective in decreasing post-stroke depression for elderly patients. But it is important to choose an appropriate type of therapy per the health regulatory focus of elderly patients with post-stroke rehabilitation.
The general aim of this systematic review is to synthesize, analyze, and critically review existing studies concerning the relationship between sociodemographic, intrapersonal, and work-related factors and burnout, as well as psychological wellbeing among psychotherapists.

We performed a structured literature search utilizing the PRISMA framework in the following databases Web of Science, Scopus, MedLine, PsyARTICLES, ProQuest, and Google Scholar. The most relevant inclusion criteria were quantitative and peer-reviewed articles published in English.

After the selection process, we accepted 52 articles for further systematic review. Thirty-eight studies examined burnout among psychotherapists, while the other 14 studies focused on psychological wellbeing in this sample.

Burnout and wellbeing among psychotherapists are related to numerous sociodemographic (e.g., age, gender), intrapersonal (e.g., coping, personality), and work-related characteristics, including work settings and professional support in this profession (e.g., supervision or personal therapy). However, the high heterogeneity observed between studies in terms of burnout and wellbeing operationalization and measurement warrants more consistent and advanced methodological models of these theoretical constructs in the future in this specific sample.

The current study examined this notion using a sample of 3,084 participants (1,382 males, 1,693 females, nine non-binary). Respondents completed self-report measures assessing Paranormal Belief, Transliminality, psychopathology-related characteristics (Schizotypy and Manic-Depressive Experience), and well-being (Perceived Stress and Somatic Complaints). Responses were analysed via correlations and moderation. Paranormal Belief correlated positively with Transliminality, psychopathology-related measures, Perceived Stress, and Somatic Complaints. Moderation analyses revealed that Transliminality and psychopathology-related variables (i.e., the Unusual Experiences and Cognitive Disorganisation subscales of schizotypy, and Manic-Depressive Experience) interacted with Paranormal Belief in complex ways and were allied to higher scores on negative well-being outcomes.
