Clinical data of 100 puerperae who came to our hospital for delivery were analyzed in this retrospective study. The puerperae were divided into an observation group (50 cases) and a control group (50 cases) according to the nursing model they received. The observation group was given high-quality nursing, and the control group was given routine nursing. The levels of blood glucose and blood pressure, scores of Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), delivery mode, nursing satisfaction and perinatal health status were recorded and compared.

After childbirth, the SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P<0.05). The amniotic fluid index of the observation group was increased significantly (P<0.001). The total nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (t=14.324, P<0.001). The health status of neonates in the observation group was better than that in the control group (χ
=4.762, P=0.029). After intervention, the levels of blood glucose and blood pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (both P<0.05).

Only a few such cases have been reported with significant phenotypic heterogeneity. Here, we reported a case with familial 3q28q29 duplication that was 8.5 Mb in length, covering all fragments from previous reports. A series of genetic detection techniques, including karyotyping, chromosomal microarray, and fluorescence in situ hybridization, demonstrated that the rearrangement, in this case, was due to a three-chromosome translocation of the paternal grandmother of the fetus. Interestingly, only mild intellectual disability in the father and slightly thick nuchal translucency (NT) in the fetus were observed. The fetus was delivered at term and showed normal developmental milestones. Our study increased the understanding of this syndrome and highlighted the necessity and importance of the rational use of multiple genetic techniques in prenatal diagnosis.
To explore the efficacy of sequential blood purification in paraquat (PQ) poisoning-induced multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).

Forty-six patients with MODS caused by PQ poisoning admitted to our hospital during January 2016-December 2020 were retrospectively enrolled. The patients were allocated into the experimental group (n = 20) and the control group (n = 26) in accordance with the different treatment methods of blood purification. The experimental group was given sequential blood purification, and the control group was given separate blood purification. The two groups were compared in terms of blood biochemical indices, inflammatory factor levels, level of organ injury and treatment efficiency.

The relationship between 25(OH)D and iron deficiencies with osteoporosis is unknown up to date. This review presents the current knowledge on nutritional iron and vitamin D deficiencies in bone remodeling, and discuss the link between iron and bone metabolism among postmenopausal women. Finally, it is hypothesized that chronic iron and vitamin D deficiencies induces bone resorption and risk of osteoporosis, thus complete recovery from anemia and its prevention should be promoted in order to improve quality of life including bone health. While the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine has been well-proven, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. The common proven mechanisms of Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of MIRI include regulating lipid metabolism, protecting mitochondria, and improving energy metabolism, attenuating calcium (Ca2+) overload, scavenging oxygen free radicals, inhibiting apoptosis, and reducing autophagy. Others are the regulation of inflammatory cytokine expressions and healing of inflammatory lesions, modulation of cell signaling pathways, improvement of endothelial cell function, and protection of myocardial cells. In this review, we highlight recent studies that focus on elucidating these molecular mechanisms and the therapeutic effects of natural compounds deriving from TCM in MIRI, to ascertain the research progress made and the prospects in this field.
To investigate the diagnostic value of fibrinogen (Fib) combined with thromboelastogram (TEG) in postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) after vaginal delivery.

A total of 120 women who underwent vaginal delivery in our hospital were divided into a PPH group (n=50) and a non-PPH group (n=70). The reaction time (R), clotting time (K), Fib, and D-dimer (D-D) levels were compared between the two groups. Patients in the PPH group were sub-divided into a mild hemorrhage group (n=28) and a severe hemorrhage group (n=22). The receiver operator characteristic curves of R, K, Fib, and D-D for predicting PPH were plotted respectively.

The levels of R, K, and D-D in the PPH group were significantly higher than those in the non-PPH group. The Fib level was significantly lower than that in the non-PPH group (
<0.05). The severe hemorrhage group had significantly higher maternal R, K, and D-D levels and a significantly lower Fib level than the mild hemorrhage group (
