In conclusion, high hEIM local fat percentage relates to greater subcutaneous fat and intramuscular non-contractile tissue content. High hEIM muscle quality relates to greater muscle-sizesubcutaneous-fat ratio and contractile tissue content. Sex influences the prediction of both parameters. After an accident, managers need to assess the extent of pollution under conditions of gate control, and it's necessary to make suitable emergency control decision under this assessment. Therefore, we researched the rapid prediction of pollutants behaviours under conditions of complicated gate control in this paper, by presenting three characteristic parameters of pollutant migration and diffusion. According to the simulation results, the influencing reasons and rapid prediction formulas for the characteristic parameters (peak transport distance, pollutant longitudinal length and peak concentration) after a sudden water-soluble pollution accident are proposed. Also, the approval results show that the formulas can accurately predict the location and range of the pollutant after the emergency accident. Irrational FDCs persists in some countries which are being addressed.Introduction Despite the promising results of intralesional vitamin D in verruca treatment; its precise mechanism of action is not fully understood.Aim of the work To investigate immunohistochemical expression of cathelicidin (LL 37) before and after injection of vitamin D in verruca vulgaris and to clarify its possible role in pathogenesis of verruca.Patients and methods This study included 20 patients with multiple verrucae vulgaris. Vitamin D was intralesionally injected every 2 weeks for a maximum of 4 sessions or clearance of verrucae. Skin biopsies were taken from the patients before and at the end of the study and compared to skin samples from ten apparently healthy, age and sex matched individuals for histopathological and immunohistochemical assessment of LL37 expression.Results Eight (40%) verrucae showed complete response, seven (35%) showed partial response and five (25%) showed no response. Decreased epidermal thickness and reduced density of inflammatory cells in dermis were observed after injection. Significant increase in LL37 intensity of expression was observed after intralesional injection of vitamin D3 (p = 0.003) and in verrucae showing complete clinical response (p = 0.022).Conclusions Intralesional injection of vitamin D is effective and safe treatment for verruca vulgaris and causes increase in LL37 expression.Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that is potentially life-threatening and can affect any organ. Knowledge gained over many years has implicated type I interferon (IFN) in the pathogenesis of SLE and anti-IFN therapies hold promise as a much-needed future treatment for SLE. Anifrolumab, a human monoclonal antibody against the type I IFN receptor, has recently been evaluated in two Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of moderate-to-severe SLE. Here, we review the clinical efficacy and safety of anifrolumab and discuss the potential challenges in determining the optimal SLE patient subgroup for treatment.We aimed to investigate associations of dietary intakes with unhealthy metabolic phenotype development, in normal weight and overweight/obese adults separately. A total of 1114 individuals, aged ≥19 years, with healthy phenotype in the third examination cycle of Tehran Lipid and Glucose Study were followed until the fifth examination. Dietary intakes were estimated using the food frequency questionnaires, collected during the study. The participants were grouped as normal weight and overweight/obese according to the baseline body mass index (BMI). Unhealthy metabolic status was determined as having more than one component of metabolic syndrome using the Joint Interim Statement. Regardless of BMI, higher intakes of magnesium, dairy products, poultry, apples/pears, citrus fruits, and tea/coffee decreased the risk of developing unhealthy phenotype, while higher intakes of fast foods, organ meats, and potatoes increased the risk. Food intake can influence the transition to unhealthy phenotype in metabolically healthy adults, irrespective of the BMI status.
