Although the development of national conditions and the increase in health risk factors undoubtedly pose a huge challenge to China's medical health and labour security system, these simultaneously promote the elevation and transformation of national healthcare consciousness. Given that the current disease diagnosis and treatment models hardly satisfy the growing demand for medical and health care in China, based on the theory of healthcare and basic laws of human physiological activities, and combined with the characteristics of the information society, this paper presents a panoramic and personalised intelligent healthcare mode that is aimed at improving and promoting individual health. The basic definition and conceptual model are provided, and its basic characteristics and specific connotations are elaborated in detail. Subsequently, an intelligent coordination model of daily time allocation and a dynamic optimisation model for healthcare programmes are proposed. The implementation of this mode is explicitly illustrated with a practical application case. It is expected that this study will provide new ideas for further healthcare research and development. In the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the global fraternity of researchers has been assiduously investigating pharmacological interventions against the SARS-CoV2. This novel virus is known to gain entry through the ACE 2 receptor of pulmonary epithelial cells lining the respiratory tract. Many of its initial symptoms (e.g. difficulty breathing) resemble acute high altitude illnesses, particularly HAPE. Based on these overt symptoms, a number of high altitude researchers have speculated on repurposing of drugs used to treat acute altitude illnesses (especially HAPE). However, eminent high altitude researchers with medical expertise as well as some studies on the deeper causes underlying the overt symptoms have found that such repurposing maybe counter-productive. Other factors, (e.g. contra-indications of these drugs), make their use in COVID-19 patients hazardous. The fit-for-repurposing options maybe experimental prophylactic interventions (e.g. silymarin, curcumin) which have proven anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Another line of thought focuses on proteomics-based investigations of such patients. However, apart from the logistical and safety issues, a targeted proteomics approach based on prior sound molecular investigations is a more logical approach instead of mere shotgun proteomics. In this commentary, we shed light on such issues associated with COVID-19.Currently, world is facing a global outbreak causing a pandemic threat known as COVID-19. This infectious disease is triggered by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Gut microbiota harbours multi species community with a strong impact on host immune homeostasis. However, our knowledge about this gut microbiota and its symbiotic relationship with immune activation in association with SARS-CoV-2 is limited. Unbalanced bacterial flora with too many opportunistic infections can shift immune system towards a cascade of inflammatory responses leading to multi organ damage. This review will highlight immune-regulation via various mechanisms in SARS-CoV-2 infection. Diet has an unbelievable influence on gut microbiome that allows a new state of homeostasis to be reached through timing, frequency and duration of intake. This review article focuses on gut, lung microbiota and immunomodulation with specific attention on immune activation by gut microbiota. We have put an effort to estimate the number of publications related to the modelling aspect of the corona pandemic through the web search with the corona associated keywords. The survey reveals that plenty of epidemiological models outcast the simple population dynamics solution. Most of the future predictions based on these epidemiological models are highly unreliable because of the complexity of the dynamical equations and the poor knowledge of realistic values of the model parameters. The incidence time series of top ten corona infected countries are erratic and sparse. But in comparison, the incidence and disease fitness relationships are uniform and concave upward in nature. These simple profiles with the acceleration curves have fundamental implications in understanding the instinctive dynamics of the corona pandemic. We propose a simple population dynamics solution based on the incidence-fitness relationship in predicting that a plateau or steady state of SARS-CoV-2 will be reached using the basic concept of geometry.Mitigation measures and control strategies relating to novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been widely applied in many countries in order to reduce the transmission of this pandemic disease. A Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in Malaysia starting from the March 18, 2020 as a pandemic control strategy which restricted all movement and daily outdoor activities. To investigate the impact of MCO, air pollutants particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 10 μm (PM10), particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 μm (PM2.5), sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone (O3) and carbon monoxide (CO) in nine major cities in Malaysia were measured before and during the implementation of the MCO. The non-carcinogenic health risk assessments of the air pollutants are also determined using the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Health Risk Assessment method. Overall, NO2 recorded an average percentage reduction of 40% with the highest reduction observed at Kota Kinabalu (62%). The largest reductions of PM10, PM2.5, SO2, O3 and CO were recorded at Kota Kinabalu (17%), Kuantan (9.5%), Alor Star (38%), Kota Bharu (15%), and Ipoh (27%) respectively. All cities had hazard quotient (HQ) values of less then 1 suggesting no non-carcinogenic health effects. selleck compound The highest HQ was observed for PM2.5 during the MCO period (4.53E-02) in Kuala Lumpur. An average hazard index (HI) value of 1.44E-01 (before the MCO) and 1.40E-01 (during the MCO) showed higher human health risks before the MCO than during the MCO. This study gives confidence to regulatory bodies that the reduction of human activities significantly reduces air pollution and increases human health and so good air pollution control strategies can provide crucial impacts, especially in reducing air pollution and improving human health.
