(Cyathostoma) phenisci to be a real threat to a wide range of their definitive hosts and cyathostomiasis should be considered in the differential diagnosis for fish-eating marine birds, even in cases without respiratory signs. This is also the first record of the genus Cyathostoma in Brazil.A survey of the parasite fauna of freshwater fishes from Wet Tropics Bioregion in Queensland, Australia, revealed the presence of a new species of Stemmatostoma Cribb, 1986 (Digenea Cryptogonimidae). Stemmatostoma cribbi n. sp. is described from the intestine and pyloric caeca of 2 species of grunter (Terapontidae), Hephaestus fuliginosus (Macleay) and Hephaestus tulliensis (De Vis) and the Jungle perch (Kuhliidae), Kuhlia rupestris (Lacepède), collected from the Barron and Mulgrave-Russell River drainage divisions in tropical north Queensland, Australia. Stemmatostoma cribbi n. sp. is primarily distinguished morphologically from the type- and only other species in the genus, Stemmatostoma pearsoni Cribb, 1986 in having consistently fewer oral spines (14 in S. cribbi n. sp. vs. 16 in S. pearsoni). Alignment of novel molecular data for S. cribbi n. sp. and S. pearsoni revealed that they differ genetically by 26 nucleotides (2.1%) over the 1,258 bp partial large subunit (LSU) region, 1 nucleotide (0.8%) over the 121 bp partial 5.8S region and 23 nucleotides (7.2%) over the entire 318 bp ITS2 rDNA region. Bayesian inference and maximum likelihood phylogenetic analyses of the partial LSU region for the species of Stemmatostoma sequenced here were used to explore the relationships of these species to other cryptogonimid species reported from freshwater ecosystems.STUDY QUESTION Are obstetric and perinatal outcomes in pregnancies after fresh blastocyst transfer (BT) comparable with those born after fresh cleavage stage transfer (CT) and spontaneous conception (SC)? SUMMARY ANSWER Fresh BT is associated with a higher risk of placental and perinatal complications. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY BT optimizes the selection of top-quality embryos and increases pregnancy and live birth rates per transfer compared to CT. However, concerns have been raised as extended culture duration may increase obstetric complications and impair perinatal outcomes. Previous studies have shown a higher risk of preterm birth (PTB) among infants born after BT compared with CT. Pregnancies after BT are also prone to a higher risk of same-sex twins after single embryo transfer (SET). OBJECTIVE To describe patterns in symptom prevalence, symptom resolution time (SRT), and return-to-play time (RTP) for SRCs sustained in 20 HS sports during the 2013/14-2017/18 academic years. METHODS A convenience sample of athletic trainers reported concussion information to the HS RIOTM surveillance system. Symptom prevalence, average number of symptoms, and SRT and RTP distributions were examined and compared by event type (practice, competition), injury mechanism (person contact, nonperson contact), sex, and contact level (collision, high contact, and low contact) with chi-square tests and Wilcoxon rank-sum tests. RESULTS Among all SRCs (n = 9542), headache (94.5%), dizziness (73.8%), and difficulty concentrating (56.0%) were commonly reported symptoms. On average, 4.7 ± 2.4 symptoms were reported per SRC. Overall, 51.3% had symptoms resolve in 21 d) was seen between new and recurrent SRCs (9.4% vs 15.9%; P less then .001). CONCLUSION Headache was the most commonly reported symptom. Notable group differences in the prevalence of amnesia, loss of consciousness, and SRT may be associated with more severe SRCs, warranting further attention.
